I just managed to uninstall Microsoft Edge and, upon rebooting my system, the behavior is gone. I still have no idea where the problem originated.

No extensions installed. After restarting Zotero, I see the normal menu. I am in the middle of running some simulations. I will try again after those finish and the system is rebooted. Thanks!

Log entries suggest that a file-permissions issue was the cause. Nothing was changed with the exception of installing the Zotero 5.0.63 update over Zotero 5.0.62. Nevertheless, resetting the file-permissions in the directories containing Zotero seeā¦
