Hi Again, I hadn't noticed the private email/message function. I have it now and will respond to you directly. Thank you so much!

Thanks Damnation. I'm really sorry but I don't see that. Is PM private message?

Hi bwiernik what's the next step with this style request. Will anyone be able to implement it and is there anything else I need to do? Thanks. I don't know how it works but really keen to be able to use the style asap. Thanks, Jonathan

Thanks bwiernik. Is there anything else I need to do?

Hi, I'm having some problems with the end of the URL entry. It seems to hyperlink [Accessed and there should be a space before [Accessed but it won't put in the arrow character if I leave space

Yes, thanks bwiernik.

Hi Again And apologies. There were commas in the previous entry after initials that should not have been there. I've been assured these are now correct: Mares, I. (2001) 'Firms and the welfare state: when, why and how does social policy matter …

Ok, it looks like the system removes URLs from posts.

Hi Again, There was a typo in the previous entry in that I left out the url. I've amended the entry below. Also, my italics are disappearing when I post. The title of the journal, Comparative Political Studies, should be in italics and the title…

Hi, I now have the correct format for the Campbell/Pedersen references formatted to the style from my supervisors: Mares, I. (2001) 'Firms and the welfare state: when, why and how does social policy matter to employers', in P., A. Hall and D.,…

Thank you. I can't answer that info straight away. I'll check in with my supervisors.
-
Thanks to all Bwiernik, damnation and adamsmith for your help with this so far. I've started a new style request thread as suggested.
-
Thank you bwiernik. I'll do that now.

Hi, And thank you for previous advice. Unfortunately, I still need some help. I now need my citations to look like this: (Denzin, 1986: 12). Note the comma after the author and the space after the colon. I don’t seem to be able to find any setting…

Hi again, I have spoken with my supervisors and they do want me to use ibid for for repeated sources for in-text citations such as (ibid.), (ibid.: 45), (ibid.: 45-41) and presumably (Ibid.) at the end of a longer indented quote. Much appreciated if…

sorry, I can see the system won't post the code extract I put in the last post. But would I need to replace the URL links for zotero and owl.english.purdue.edu?
-
Damnation, I have made the change to the .csl file. Can I check this is correct please for the top of that file, or do I also need to replace both URLs and if so how: JC ASA PHD JC ASA PHD JC PHD ASA
-
Thank you, that's good to know. I'm responding to the preferences of my supervisors who have mixed backgrounds so perhaps I should discuss further with them. I'm assuming they'll not just want (ibid.) but also (ibid:401) etc.
-
Sorry, another question related to ASA style in Zotero. It doesn't seem to produce '(ibid.)' for repeated sources for in-text citations. Can it be set up to do this or will I have to do it manually?
-
That's fantastic, thank you so much. You're all very generous with your help.

Thank you for getting back to me. My difficulty with ASA is the inclusion of the author's full first name in the bibliography, rather than an initial, other than that the bibliographic reference is fine. I'd like the ability to change the in-text …
