@lkhphuc Thanks, but still no luck in reproducing the issue. Could you do two things: 1) Disable all your third-party extensions and then delete and recreate the same highlight again, to see if the issue still appears. 2) Upload the exact PDF file …

@lkhphuc I'm still unable to reproduce the issue. Could provide a Debug ID redoing the steps in the video?
-
Thanks for reporting. We would need to have a PDF to reproduce the issue. If that's not a problem, please send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
-
@warguelles It might just be a guess, but it can be this issue. Could you download and test the mentioned PDF file and tell us if you see the wrong one, or the correct one screenshot? Next, you can try going to Zotero Preferences->Advanced->C…
-
@warguelles Thanks. But I still can't reproduce this. Could you test if the issue appears on another computer? There is a chance this is related with your hardware/OS/drivers.
-
Thanks for reporting. We will fix that.
-
@warguelles I can't reproduce this, at least with the file that I can access. You could send the specific file to support@zotero.org also referencing this thread. Could you test if that happens on other computers? Also if that happens when opening …

Displaying two or more annotations (from different pages) as a single annotation, probably, won't happen because there are too many complications with this. We could only consider to allow them grouping somehow. Having another text between the annot…

You can already do that by double-clicking the extracted text.

@auster I have another suggestion for the Notes. It happens quite often that after I insert a quote with a citation, I try to put the cursor right after the closing bracket with the mouse, but I simply cannot. Instead, the whole citation gets highli…

@warguelles Could you provide screenshots of specific PDF part that is rendered incorrectly and also the correct version of it.
-
@auster @octavabasso @enozkan @ppraet We've just rolled out a new update. Please try it out and see if notes freezing/lagging still happens.
-
@auster @octavabasso @enozkan How many notes, approximately, do you have in your libraries? You can see the number in a PDF reader tab's all notes list inside the "x more..." button. As it's likely that notes count correlates with the lag.

@maxpiner It will just read opacity for now. We are still considering what to do with global opacity.
-
@maxpiner in the next update opacity will be taken into account, although I still recommend to just pick lighter colors instead of using opacity.
-
Actually, the issue nr. 2 still appears in some circumstances, but it will be fixed in the next update.
-
Thanks for reporting. It will be fixed soon.
-
@maxpiner could you send an example PDF with an opacity to support@zotero.org also including a link this thread? Zotero annotations won't be able to keep the alpha channel, but we should probably apply it to the color when importing.
-
@maxpiner I'm wondering if the opacity is included when you are saving PDF file in Foxit reader. Do other PDF viewers display those highlights with opacity?
-
1) We will fix that. 2) Zotero PDF reader tries to extract page label directly from page text or use the already assigned page labels, and only then falls back to page index (1,2,3). If that doesn't work, could you provide an example PDF where the i…

You are right, we will fix that.
-
This is by design, partially to indicate that the search button is for PDF search and not for something else, and partially because of some technical limitations.
-
Thanks for reporting. We'll fix this.
-
@nerimarsili the performance issues will be fixed in the next beta update.
-
Does that PDF file work well if you open it with https://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/web/viewer.html ? Additionally, if you are comfortable providing the PDF file (or just a part of it that still breaks the reader) that would help us to reproduce the …
-
Thanks for reporting. It's unrelated with note editor. This is highlight annotation text extraction issue. The exported PDF seems to have misaligned text layer. We'll improve the extraction. Which browser you were using to export the PDF?
-
@eporte Evince still creates two individual annotations. In future we will also allow to select across pages and create multiple annotations.
-
In PDF standard everything is strictly divided into separate pages. Unfortunately, there is no trick to achieve this. Do you know any PDF reader that would allow to do something like that?
-
We will fix that.

Most likely the URL is just missing. We probably shouldn't display this error. What happens when you click it in any other PDF viewer?
