@Arktika Indeed, the old editor was able to insert image just from a direct image link. We'll fix that.

Currently it shows title when there are no authors, and it applies for all item types. But we might consider to show short title if that makes sense.

@yuecq Would it be possible for you to make a video demonstrating the cursor issue? Does it happen with empty notes as well? Regarding the second issue, you can just drag an annotation from PDF reader to any position in the note.
