1. The colors of highlight annotations is different on the two platforms, where the iPad's colors are more pastel. The color difference itself doesn't bother me, but the Mac app classifies these as two different colors (i.e. if I highlight text in r…

Indeed, it tries to render all thumbnails instead of just the visible ones. We'll fix it—thanks.

@althing7 Could you send the item RAVDI4VP PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? You can find the PDF file by pasting RAVDI4VP into the search field.
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
And if you run Zotero in normal mode but disable all third-party plugins, do you notice any difference?
-
@SteffenHe Yes, that will create a single standalone note with annotations from multiple PDF files.
-
1.I disabled all third-party plugins. But when i use troublesthooting mode, it's good. Do you mean that in troubleshooting mode, the zoom in/out is not slow?

Zotero 7 PDF reader tries to automatically determine Figure links in text and to show a popup. In this case it falsely identified a relation. This will be improved over time. If you can, please send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to…

The figure is between references [5] and [6], so this is the expected behavior. Unfortunately, we can't change that.
-
We'll see what we can do—thanks.

Most likely, switching between tabs overstretches the system by trying to load and unload many tabs, causing one of them to exceed the 0.5s max loading time limit and crash. We can try increasing the time limit. For the record, what is your system…

1) Does it happen with all PDF files? 2) Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening? 3) Could you make a video demonstrating the issue?
-
Do you mean you can’t delete the highlight? Can you describe step by step what you’re doing or add a screenshot.
-
I can’t reproduce the issue so far. 1. Have you tested with all third-party plugins disabled? 2. Does it happen with all PDF files? 3. Could you make a video demonstrating the issue?
-
You can select multiple annotations in the reader sidebar and drop them onto a tag at the bottom of the sidebar while holding the Shift key.
-
1) As I understand, this doesn't happen with all PDF files. What's different about those PDF files? Are they scanned? Are they very long? 2) How long does the CPU usage stay high? 3) Is there any difference if you disable all third-party plugins?
-
@aruneema 1) What device are you using? 2) What happens when you try to scroll?
-
It only includes annotations that are inside PDF (also EPUB and snapshot) files.
-
So maybe that annotation hasn’t been imported from the PDF file yet? Does using File → Import Annotations… help?
-
Editing annotations made by other users isn't allowed in group libraries. You should also see the username next to the lock icon.
-
Do you mean there are Note annotations on PDF pages that aren't included in the "Create note from annotations" result?
-
We'll try to fix that.
-
It seems this only happens when PDF file doesn’t have a parent item, correct?
-
We'll fix it—thanks.
-
Do you mean the problem only occurs when there is no comment? Otherwise, does it successfully copy the links?
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
We'll see what we can do here. Thanks for reporting.
-
The behaviour in the PDF reader is a bit more curious on closer inspection; what seems to happen is: We'll fix it—thanks.
-
So far, I can't reproduce it. 1) Does it happen with all PDF files? 2) Have you tried with all third-party plugins disabled, if you have any? 3) Could you make a video demonstrating the issue?

@garbus Can you check if graphics acceleration in Settings → Advanced → Config Editor → layers.acceleration.disabled is set to false?
