We'll try to fix that in future Zotero versions. Thanks for reporting.
-
Currently, it's just not supported.
-
We'll investigate—thanks for reporting.

Yes, please send the snapshot to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.

Single-letter searches using the Latin script are intentionally restricted to prevent performance issues when thousands of potential results exist. Can you list the specific cases when it is needed?
-
So far, I can't reproduce the issue. Which operating system are you using?
-
Could you send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
It will be fixed in an upcoming update. Thanks for reporting.

Currently, scripts beyond Latin don't embed fonts when exporting annotations. Some PDF viewers on certain operating systems can display them using system fonts, while others may fail to render them. Which operating system and PDF viewer are you usi…

Does the search work if you try it with any other PDF viewer? This is likely an issue specific to the PDF file—possibly due to invalid character mapping.
-
@tianqizhao We can look what exactly is the problem if you send us the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
-
@gclin It should already be fixed in Zotero 7.
-
Currently, only annotations added to a note include a link that can open the file to the specified page when exported.
-
Thanks. Could you send the PDF file (with the invisible annotation) to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
Likely the PDF file is missing fonts. Are you using Zotero 7?
-
@SyNoR52 Does text highlighting work properly when you enable the highlighting tool in the sidebar?
-
This is planned. Thanks for reporting.
-
Which annotation types are missing, or could any be missing? Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
@althing7 Thanks, but I'm unable to reproduce the issue with this specific file. In future Zotero versions, we plan to continue the export process even if some PDFs fail. Instead of stopping, we’ll display a list of PDFs that failed to export. In …

Most likely, this is a scanned document with poor OCR that has various issues. Other PDF viewers should encounter the same problems when displaying this PDF file.
-
Currently, there is no easy way to do that. However, future versions of Zotero will allow to select all text using Cmd/Ctrl-A and copy it with Cmd/Ctrl-C.

1. The colors of highlight annotations is different on the two platforms, where the iPad's colors are more pastel. The color difference itself doesn't bother me, but the Mac app classifies these as two different colors (i.e. if I highlight text in r…

Indeed, it tries to render all thumbnails instead of just the visible ones. We'll fix it—thanks.

@althing7 Could you send the item RAVDI4VP PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? You can find the PDF file by pasting RAVDI4VP into the search field.
-
Can you provide a Debug ID for it happening?
-
And if you run Zotero in normal mode but disable all third-party plugins, do you notice any difference?
-
@SteffenHe Yes, that will create a single standalone note with annotations from multiple PDF files.
-
1.I disabled all third-party plugins. But when i use troublesthooting mode, it's good. Do you mean that in troubleshooting mode, the zoom in/out is not slow?

Zotero 7 PDF reader tries to automatically determine Figure links in text and to show a popup. In this case it falsely identified a relation. This will be improved over time. If you can, please send the PDF file to support@zotero.org with a link to…
