Thank you so much!
-
Phew! That seems to have worked. I was getting a little worried.
-
I have hundreds of references in the hyperlink format in this document (and hundreds of thousands in my research database). Presumably I would need to manually find and replace each one?
-
Is there anything you can do to fix it?
-
Ie a document with a single citation of { | Plucknett, 2001 | | |zu:409871:MQUFXF6D} works, but not a single citation of { | Plucknett, 2001 | | |zotero://select/items/0_MQUFXF6D}

I've been trying different options and I think it may be that the ODF scan no longer works for zotero/select style citations
-
On new computer: 6.0.15 / zotero-odf-scan-v2.0.48
-
I'm struggling to convert ODF documents and cannot see why. Nothing seems to be working. Each time I get the message 'There was an error processing this file'. This seems to be the case (1) with my old computer where I do not believe I have changed …

@dstillman thanks! I'm wondering if it has something to do with my home library in that case. Maybe they use libproxy in some way? There do seem to be IT issues this morning.
-
It also seems to be trying to use libproxy in Safari, despite there being no Zotero translator for Safari.
-
I suppose now I know that this is the likely cause, I could find a way to search for hyperlinks. It's tricky to find in the ODF scan, which is why it took me so long. However, somebody else facing the same problem wouldn't know that this was an issu…

Thanks @adamsmith! I know that most people use the default settings, but the hyperlink function is extremely useful and saves a lot of time. I've been using it for many years, so all my notes are reference in this style and I'm pretty heavily commit…

Hi @adamsmith, did you have a chance to look at this?

I've discovered the problem by dividing the document into 128 pieces. Either Scrivener or LibreOffice had automatically and covertly changed a Zotero reference { | Smith, 2020 |123| | zotero://select/items/0_123456} to a 'live' hyperlink. This seems…

Error says: 'Read Error. Format error discovered in the file in sub-document context.xml at 3,0(row,col).'
-
@adamsmith I'd really appreciate that. I'll cut out as much from the document to see if I can recreate the problem with a short document. It's long at the moment. In the meantime, I've stripped out as much formatting as I can, leaving the Zotero …

Would anybody be able to help me work out what is breaking ODF scan on conversion? I have an ODF document that opens fine, but when I run it through the scan, LibreOffice is unable to open it. I think it may have something to do with citation marker…

I've tried to downgrade to the 2.0.37 version of the add-on, but still get the same error report. Likewise 2.0.35. I've also tried to convert an old file that I previously converted fine with the old setup, and this has failed for the same reason, …

Thanks Sebastian. I'm trying to work out what caused it. I'm using: - LO 6.0.6.2 (I'm updating this to 6.0.7 to see if it makes a difference) - OX10.11.6 - Z 5.0.58 with LO add-ins.

I've reinstalled Scrivener, Zotero, and ODF scan. I think they're all up to date. I've just tried to use ODF scan. The original ODF document opens fine, but after I scan it, I get the following error: 'Read Error. Format error discovered in the file…

Can I check if there has been any update on this issue?
-
That manual sync seems to have fixed it for the time being. Thanks very much!
-
I also have a couple of group libraries that I deleted online at the same time, but which still appear in my freestanding Zotero.
-
I started having this problem last week right after Zotero asked me for a new key for Chrome. I fixed it for a while, but now the problem is back.
-
It says 'no errors were found in the database'
-
Sorry, I've solved it. Chrome wanted permission to access a private key and I had clicked the wrong button. Looks like it is working now.
-
I think I have a similar problem. For some reason on the Zotero website, it just asked me for a new translator setting. Now Zotero crashes when I add from various sites (but not internet pages). The error report is 928939416
-
Actually it seems something to do with the 'save to Zotero' option on Chrome. As soon as I click something, freestanding Zotero then crashes.

Thanks! What storage solution do group users normally use?
