Works just fine now. Thanks!
-
Works great; I appreciate it.

Looks great to me; thanks so much!
-
Also just noticed that the protocols do not pull in the book title, abstract, or page fields.
-
Understood. I appreciate you looking.

Thanks; the ACS translator's working fine for me now. Going back and trying again prior to updating, I found that the Annual Reviews link as I pasted it does indeed work fine, but it doesn't work through my library proxy (I pulled the proxy out…

Looks good; thanks!

Attachments work for me. The regex now doesn't pick up book chapter pages, such as http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/bk-2006-STYG.ch001 Main book page works fine.
-
Thanks; that seems to be picking it up fine. However, now it's not getting the pdf's, either from the TOC page or from the individual chapter pages. I'm guessing it's because this book only has the plain pdf's available, and not the "PDF w/ Links"…

Great; thanks!

It's also safer across implementations That's fair enough; it is more robust this way across multiple sites. I don't use multiples that much for journal articles, but I use it all the time for books. I would pretty much never cite a full book in a…

Yep, I've got it. It didn't occur to me before, but what about making the book main pages (http://epubs.siam.org/doi/book/10.1137/1.9780898719123) multiples? I know there are some translators that go each way on that.
-
Maybe its just on my end, but I don't seem to be getting the latest version of the translator, so not picking up the last changes. The preferences page says the translators are up to date, and I've restarted firefox. I'm showing 12:27PM today as t…

What we should be aiming for is (if the users chooses) to automatically fetch more complete metadata via DOI/ISBN/PMID/publisher metadata... That would certainly be fantastic. Since merging was added, I have often grabbed both the native translator …

That was fast, I hardly had chance to look at it. :-) Most of the pages seem to work great. However, the book main pages aren't being picked up. They all have "book" instead of "toc" in their URL, e.g. http://epubs.siam.org/doi/book/10.1137/1.978…

Yep, that's got it. Thanks again!

No problem... I really wasn't expecting same day service on any of it. :-) I just realized I generated the debug output on a different paper than the title I listed above (this one is "Effects of ions and surfactant on enzymatic hydrolysis of s…

Sciencedirect working on my end again, so thanks! Not sure on the compendex. I was already set to accept cookies, but changed to "remember history" to be on the safe side, restarted with all addons but Zotero disabled, and no dice. I went ahe…

Sorry, should've been more specific, the translators on neither the abstract nor detailed pages work for me. For that matter, neither does using the "select items" window from the search results page. (I only noticed it wasn't working because the …

Thanks! I should've figured the direct link wouldn't work. I'm getting the same thing for all the papers I load on engineering village. One example is "Fuel ethanol production from sweet sorghum bagasse using microwave irradiation". If you h…

Outstanding; it works great for me. Thanks!

From a citation standpoint, I think you're right--it would be unusual for anyone to actually reference an entire book like I linked as opposed to referencing a chapter (even if it were multiple chapters). I suppose if someone were cataloging their …

That probably would be helpful... An example of a Wiley publication where it would be nice is here: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/book/10.1002/9781118493441 A Springer title that works the way I'm describing is here: http://link.springer.com/b…

I know this isn't your main question, but unless you prefer to have a downloaded copy of the paper outside of the zotero file structure, you may be able to combine steps 2 and 3 into a single step. Instead of downloading the pdf, copy the URL (…

Had the same question and found this thread. Using FF 12 and ZSA 3.0.6 in Windows Vista I had no luck dragging URLs or tabs. However, I did find that you can abuse the "attach stored copy of a file" under "add attachment" by pasting the desi…

Well, color me thrilled. I clearly haven't paid enough attention to the features in the new release--time to upgrade.
-
I too have thought several times about how useful such a feature would be. It is pretty common for me to have in press references tied to different documents, and though I could download the new reference and delete the old, not only would I have t…

Thanks for taking care of those things. You're right about the disambiguation--that is common elsewhere, it's just not explicit in these journals. If I find an example either way, I'll report it here, but, of course, its fairly uncommon. I on…
