• Thanks for your help, fixed by upgrading to Zotero 5.0.7. This is a little annoying as Synaptic package manager doesn't have the most recent version so have had to install manually using the tarball and now launch Zotero via terminal :'( But it work…

• Thanks for your advice, clearing cache and downloading in a different browser didn't work, I've gone with Standalone and it's working :)
