This is now fixed.

Are you planning on publishing an updated Turabian style with the date macro added soon? This is now done.

1. Anytime I paste into the suffix or prefix box zotero crashes. This is a plugin issue; see this thread: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/6068/bug-modifing-citation-in-openoffice-3/ 2. The program never puts a period "." at the end of a footnote…

Well, I think you're right that many styles don't format conference papers/presentations correctly--it may be that APA and APSA do need fixing.
-
Chicago uses Conference Paper for papers published in proceedings, and Presentation for papers presented but not published. If you use Presentation the conference name will be included. Please don't "fix" this--the formatting is correct. http://for…

Jeff, That depends on the features of Scribe you're using. Zotero is vastly superior at assembling (and sharing) bibliographies, and allows for taking notes and creating relationships between items. At the moment, Scribe is better at organizing not…

Several changes need to be made both in CSL and Zotero to make this work. Just two examples: we'd need to add new creator types, such as "penciller" and "inker"; and a dedicated item type for "comic book," to allow for including a publisher in what …

Just to be sure, is "Automatically attach associated PDFs and other files when saving items" enabled in General pane of the Zotero preferences? I do, and I have the same problem.
-
Why won't the date "n.d." insert correctly?? Delete "n.d." from the Date field and leave it blank.
-
I think it would be wrong to characterize Zotero as "largely targeted at the humanities." While Zotero offers a few features that are more useful to those in the humanities, it also offers all or almost all of the features of competing products that…

Support for lower-federal, state, and local court decisions is now available in Chicago.
-
I just wish it would suggest tags. I've not been able to find a site, so far, that "catches" tags as well as book info. Do you have the preference "Automatically tag items with keywords and subject headings" turned on in Preferences? I second the L…
-
yes, given that this makes it impossible to disambiguate between different volumes in subsequent citations, this should be fixed. it will be shortly.
-
The correct Chicago format for what you want to do is: Lomas, Letters and Speeches, 1:8. where 1 is vol number and 8 is page no. To get this formatting, just put "1:8" in the locator field. if you prefer this: Lomas, Letters and Speeches, vol. 1,…

Is volume number part of the item, or do you add it when inserting a footnote, as a locator?
-
This was a bug, thanks. It's now fixed and should be available shortly from the Z styles repository. Not sure why the changes are not showing up at the moment on the styles page.

erazlogo: might be better to type the new entry data elsewhere and copy and paste That's what I've been doing, but it's time-consuming and it's easy to forget to do this when entering something quickly.
-
Great, thanks!
-
Try updating Chicago styles? I have the latest Chicago and sync1.5b2 and I have no problem with edition numbers.
-
Chicago without ibid should work for you--what version of Zotero are you using? You may want to upgrade to the latest version.
-
@fbennett--Your solution sounds great to me.
-
[3] inserting two spaces before "Edited by" and "Translated by" in the bibliographic entry) This is now fixed and should be automatically updated in your Zotero shortly.

I am wondering if the 'Hierarchical Ontology' structure will make possible the following scenario... Yes
-
zotero has two types for paper abstracts: conference paper, for papers published in proceedings; and presentation, for conference papers that were not published.
-
AFAIK, the only thing mirrored to xbiblio are the locales files. Right, I forgot about that. That is not true. xbiblio's SVN directory of styles is quite sparse and has more limited commit access than Zotero's repository, which has more styles, more…
-
But it might be more elegant to have the style in a single, canonical location & to have dependent styles at other locations point to the canonical version. I haven't tried: is this currently possible with Zotero's implementation of CSL? Isn't t…

A related issue recently came up with some Canadian librarians--they were worried about storing researchers' databases on a server in the U.S. while the Patriot Act is still in effect. From their point of view, no SSL can protect Middle Eastern Stud…

Please post the differences between Turabian and Chicago here before adding new styles. Chicago styles need to be revised from time to time to support more item types or correct errors. In addition, I'm waiting on complex schema changes in Zotero to…

Use presentation item type instead of conference paper item type and you'll get exactly the format you want. Conference paper type is for papers published in proceedings.
