thanks for clarifying this! Much appreciated!

Thanks for the info. I understand that in this case I won't be able to make it change to the plural in the case of multiple entires? Like "vols. 29, 30 and 32" for example.

Many thanks. For the time being, I have removed the text-case code. Now it just has to be entered with the first letter set manually as uppercase. Best wishes, Daniel

Has this problem been solved? I mean that the Zotero UI Field entry "second enlarged and revised edition" becomes "Second enlarged and Revised edition"? I tried to work around it with placing the text in quotation marks and also using richt text fo…

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I can see how this could be tricky and I agree adding will bring other problems with it. I will just have to remember to look of the footnotes and capitalize those case before typesetting everything for print. Best wishe…

this worked! thanks! Best wishes, Daniel

Just to ask again here - I may have phrased it in a weird way, but basically what I mean is this: Is there a way to ensure that the first character of a citation at the beginning of a footnote is always uppercase? https://docs.citationstyles.org/e…

Good to know field-specific language specification is planned!

Thanks, I tried it. But the output is still just "2012", without a following en dash to show an ongoing range. The EDTF conventions, however, say that having nothing following the slash is exactly how to specify a time interval with unknown end. A…

Ok, good to know. Thanks for the info. Best wishes, Daniel

ok, thanks for the swift answer! That will be one thing to do manually then ... Best wishes, Daniel

Thanks a lot. I think the more reliable trick should work for me best. Thanks! As for (2), ok, until it is updated I will then just type the respective prepositions with uppercase initial letter. Many thanks, Daniel

Hi, sorry to be a bother again on this issue, I just noticed that "issued: x/y" in the extra field was once again "corrupted" and place into date as "x/y". Is this a mistake or now intended? In the document on "x" gets printed as date. Many thank…

Hi, thanks for the swift reply. Its Zotero 5.0.93 I changed it back - worked fine also in the article I was working on. Syncing did not change it in the database, neither did closing and reopening zotero. However, I recently had to reinstall windo…

Ok, for example, I have an item by an author al-Mizzī - an Arab author from the middle ages. I set the style up to tread the article al- as a particle (demote-non-dropping-particle="sort-only"). This works fine, the article is not regarded for sorti…

Thanks a lot, yeah ... I've also managed to come up with scenarios now. Sorry for late reply, I was away and then didnt look up my replies for some time. Appreciate it a lot, Daniel

Thanks a lot. Perfect! Works great, I also now see where my mistake was. Best wishes, Daniel

any tips on how to do that?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks, I'm using a style that is derived from CMOS 16th ed. note. Actually, I realize now that the macro syntax also doesn't work, at least not the one I was using.

Thanks a lot. That's great. And it works perfectly. Thanks for the swift answer.

I run this by our series-editor and turns out, there was a misunderstanding and an inaccuracy in the style explanations. Turns out, the ibid-rule as implement in csl/Zotero is exactly as he/we want it. Thanks again!

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up!

Oh, ok ... I was afraid that might be the case. But thanks for clearing that up! Much appreciated. I do agree that this requirement is confusing and a disservice to readers. It is one of the points I raised several times with the responsible people…
