Would there be a difference between libreoffice and neo office in speed? I’m on neooffice and by now it’s become really slow (235 pages..) Deleting the Bibliography seemed to helped a bit, but it’s still slow.. just 1-2 minutes between making a chan…

I’m having troubles with capitalisation of ibid after Cf. - any chance we could have two separate styles, one with, one without ibid? Just tried to do it myself but to no avail - have to get into editing CSL one day but not 3 weeks before submission…

No, wait, “, quoting” as prefix in second cite did it, great, thanks! (Sorry, I’m not dumb but my doc is so big now that every new thing I try takes ages, so I write blog posts while waiting for the next zotero refresh). Would still like to se…

Thanks - I think my problem is that I want to write something else than cf. Al-Ramahi, “Competing Rationalities,” 202; quoting Daniel G. Bates and Amal Rassam, Peoples and Cultures of the Middle East (Prentice Hall, 2001), 245. The semic…

And Chicago full note does the same, I just checked.

Also, this here doesn’t suppress the semicolon in my case: "select both citations in the multiple source dialogue, then, still in the dialogue, highlight the second one and put "cf. " in the prefix field.” What am I doing wrong? I use SBL full notes…

I concur!

Nice - does it not affect the update function?
-
Never mind, I think I’ll just copy/paste the bibliography in an excel sheet from time to time, that’s a bit quicker with my 150pages doc than changing styles back and forth. Would be a great fan of document collections though, keep up the good work.

Just what I needed. Is there a style that numbers items but leaves them in alphabetical order? Unlike IEEE?

I can't open the above one (because I don't have an account with them?) but did this search and it worked under Safari. http://explore.bl.uk/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?dscnt=0&vl(174399379UI0)=any&frbg=&scp.scps=scope%3A%…

Firefox works great with lists at VU now (this is fantastic!!), Safari displays the list but then produces an error when trying to import. Thanks!!
-
Okay, I'll just see if this gets better with future versions of the safari connectors. However, the list-issue with VU persists even on Firefox. ANyway, thanks for all the help.

Yes, if I restrict it to 'physical items' the list comes up. Then, if I want to save an item, under firefox it works, under safari I get the error 'Saving Item ... an error occurred, see 'known translator issues', etc.'

e.g. this: (n.b. I'm only talking about the list function that doesn't work in firefox; in safari both list and single item mode don't work with this) http://elibrary.vu.nl/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?dscnt=0&tab=all&dstmp=133…

Wow, that was quick! Okay, so from Safari/Zotero standalone I get the zotero button to save items but an error afterwards. With firefox I can save single books but it doesn't seem to pick up lists (no error here though). Anyway, I'm really happy…

Thanks for the quick response. I don't know much about these things, but until you fix it, would it make sense to ask the library people to change something? And is it possible to use the RIS format manually in the meantime?

Hi, I'm having the same problem with the (also primo) library of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Followed steps above (BL works now, thanks!!) but VU still doesn't, e.g.: http://elibrary.vu.nl/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?dscnt=0&…
