Ok sorry, then I didn't get that right. If it helps: The bug-text was spread throughout the document (on page 30, 80, 124,...). Anyway: I just made a (funny?) discovery: I found further bug-text. Then I turned off "show formatting characters" (whi…

I sent two emails with screenshots of the bug-text. I used the subjects "TJtom: Bug when refreshing footnotes" and "TJtom: Bug when refreshing footnotes 2". To delete half of the text and refresh the footnotes and look for bug-text would take about…

Ok, now it's getting fucked up. I found another (shorter) bug-text in the document with the refreshed footnotes. Then I checked a backup of the document which I made BEFORE I refreshed the footnotes and found the same bug-text there. How is that pos…

I found a backup from the time after I refreshed the footnotes where the bug is not deleted yet. I did two screenshots of the document. I'll send it to you.

I get that idea. Just don't want to be scared the whole doc screws up or I have to edit the whole bibliography just because I added a comma or sth in the footnote :P Ok, I have to figure out how I do that without the whole document getting paragrap…

Thanks for your answer! Not 100% sure anymore (as I deleted it), but I guess it was document text. It might be that it was next to a footnote number as I have lots of them, but unfortunately again not 100% sure. Can I change that? So that it stops…

Haha not sure if I wanna take the risk. I'm kind of screwed if it breaks down completely...

Yes, there is a lot of activity. Turned out that it finally worked after letting it do its job for about 2 hours... Now it‘s the same with the bibliography. 30min are gone yet

I disabled automatic citation updates and cited normally in my new doc. Now I'm finished, so I clicked "refresh". I waited for 1 hour, but nothing happened. The citations are still underlined. :(
-
Sry, I'm just driving crazy right now as I've been writing my thesis for about 2 years now and I wanted to hand it in this week and now I'm getting these issues...
-
You are so helpful, thank you very much! If I enable "automatically update citations", even the new doc takes hours to insert/edit a citation (actually about 8 mins so far) and nothing happens. So it's basically the same issue as in the original do…
-
Edit: When I edit or insert a new citation in the new doc, the citation has a broken line under it... What does that mean and how do I get rid of it? Thx again!
-
Thx for your answer. It is working when I copy the text in a new doc (however, the new doc has 224 pages and the original one 222?!). But when I try to insert/edit a citation in the original doc, it switches to the desktop, but the Zotero "choose yo…

Now it's working just fine. Thank you so much! You literally saved my bt!
-
Edit: Now it keeps flashing for about 15 sec when processing a new citation. After that, the flashing stops and another 15 sec later the citation is edited correctly.
-
It took always a few seconds until the citation got updated. But now it takes almost twice as long, I'd say.
-
Thanks for your efforts! Now I can edit citations, but when I do, the citation keeps flashing for about 30 seconds. After that, the citation is edited correctly, though.
-
Same here. I can add a citation now, but editing is not possible. "The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error -1728.) @[prepareReadFieldCode:document.m:205]" Really appreciate your efforts!
-
Same here. Update made everything worse :/ Really hoping for a convenient solution...
