Thanks for such a quick response. The student had the CMoS set correctly, to full note so we were able to discard your first possibility. The problem was your second possibility: "setting the citation style in the Zotero style pane instead of the Do…

I'm sorry that the period I was talking about was not clear the first time. As always, thank you for the work you do to help us cite our research. And sorry about my headline: it should read "note," not "not." I used this as an example with my stude…

Here's an example of what a student's bibliographic entry looks like (without the period): Forman, James. Locking up Our Own: Crime and Punishment in Black America. First edition. New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2017 Forman gives readers an …

That sure is easy! It's been a while since I've used Zotero and I didn't notice that the "refresh" had been added. Thanks so much for answering what must seem like such a dumb question! And so quickly, too. I am grateful.

Sorry to keep beating this drum, but I am still not seeing this need addressed in the new Zotero 5.0.3.1. As someone who requires students to use Zotero--after touting all its many advantages--it's frustrating to have to tell them that archival col…

Thank you! This solved my issue and the icon is now showing up properly. I am very pleased to have this resolved so quickly!

Thank you for the update on the updates!

Has there been any movement on trying to get a field added that will allow us to put something in as an archival collection? I asked this question four years ago and I am just wondering whether this issue was ever addressed?

I am sorry that I never returned to answer aurimas or adam smith many years ago, as I still have the question I asked in 2013. Here's an example of the citation I just created: Charles Musser, The Emergence of Cinema: The American Screen to 1907, …

Has there been any movement on adding "archival collection" to the categories? I have students working on research papers and I require them to use Zotero. I'd like to be able to tell them how to enter archival collections into their databases so th…

Thank you for being willing to look into this. I appreciate your time.

Yes, I was able to find it from the Online version of CMOS. I've cut and pasted it below: 14.241 Examples of bibliography entries for manuscript collections The style of the first six examples below is appropriate if more than one item fr…

Thank you for this. I do appreciate your help and I am not trying to be difficult, but entering an archival collection as a manuscript as you suggest causes the collection name to be encased in quotation marks, I'm sure because a manuscript is usual…

I'm sorry but this reply does not help. My example above shows that I am trying to list someone's papers in an archive. There is no category that allows me to do that. What I am trying to add is not a document, nor is it a conference paper or any of…

Thanks again. I followed the troubleshooting steps outlined in the URL you supplied above and got as far as the suggestion that I send a report with my error messages to the developers. I have done so and this is the number: 1576671972. So far,…

Addendum to earlier message: when I create a brand-new document and try to insert this citation, it works fine. So, there must be something wrong with my original Word document?

Thanks for the suggestion. I made another copy of the document but the same thing happened. So, I tried deleting the first citation and reinserting it. When I did that, I got the same error message and now my second citation is highlighted.

Thanks for the commiseration! No, neither the file nor the Zotero are on different computers. I use the Zotero synced to the website and have been using the same computer the entire time I've worked on this Word doc. Up until yesterday, I was able t…

Can someone update as to the status with Lexis-Nexis? I am not able to capture anything from Lexis-Nexis academic. Thanks!
