I see that the issue isn't new. But it was new to me. Quite a surprise.

I am using Zotero 5.0.67 but no previous version is available to me so I couldn't change it if I wanted to. I'm using word 2019. I hope that this problem is fixed and I can once again track changes and still use zotero.

I turned off track changes. I can now make citations again. Thanks but this is very disturbing. I have used zotero for 3 years without incident. Thanks again.

"Zotero experienced an error updating your document." That doesn't tell me how to fix it and the troubleshooting doesn't help. It was working earlier today. I don't know what happened. Also, I can't change the Zotero version.
