You might try sorting them by date added. This will push the most recently added items to the top of the list. See http://www.zotero.org/documentation/sorting_screencast

Thanks for the review. I have added some of your comments to our What people are saying about Zotero page.

Can you elaborate? How are you exporting, through the word plugin, right clicking on items, dragging and dropping into text fields? And do you have the most up to date version of Zotero. (RC5)
-
Pretty sure it is unrelated. I can confirm this and elaborate. Chicago (Author-Date) works properly. This adds the user specified page number. Chicago (Note with Reference List) Is now including the total number of pages in a book, this should be…

The documentation on backups, import and export leaves something to be desired, and it is on my list. But for the time being I can clarify your issues. What may be confusing is that there are two distinct ways of moving items from one machine to ano…

HI Sergiomarinho, Here is a little bit of info on how Zotero works with bibliographic styles. Zotero relies on the XML Citation Style Language to create your bibliographic entries. If you have any talents for XML you could take a crack at tweakin…

Bookmark integration will come with Firefox 3.0. See http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/160/?Focus=5690#Comment_5690 Also note a Del.ico.us plug-in is in the works http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1139/delicious-integration/#Item_2

The most recent update to Zotero added a feature designed specifically to help this need! Open Zotero, click on the gear icon above the left pane, select preferences, then from the icons at the top of the preferences pane select 'advanced'. Now clic…

While I am not particularly tuned in to how procite works the easiest way to migrate your collection would probably be RIS export. I think you can use the RIS-EndNote Style to export your collection in RIS and then follow roughly the same directions…

Thanks Mutlu_inek Just to clarify. This is sadly not a case of mis recognition of fields, but more a case of ambiguity in MARC records. In most cases editors in the LOC are listed in the 700 field. This field merely signifies Added Entry - Personal…

Hi Flora, We have not had other reports of items being deleted from individuals collections. Could you clarify. Are you using some sort of public computer that wipes out all the data on a daily basis and do you have the most recent version of Zoter…

Zotero relies on the XML Citation Style Language to create your bibliographic entries. If you have any talents for XML you could take a crack at tweaking your own style. There is talk of a more robust way to edit styles, and indeed some work has be…

Hi DesertRN, The screencasts are .swf files, this will require a flash player. I belive you should be able to download the plugin you need from http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer Did that work for you?

Often with Word you need to save the document after you change the macro settings before the changes take effect. Try creating a document, lowering your macro security settings, then save the document.

We currently do not support a CSV export format. It would somewhat difficult to represent the full range of the bibliographic metadata available in a Zotero collection. See (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/356/export-to-csv/) Some of the metadat…

I have added How do I back up my Zotero library? to our most frequently asked questions page section of the faq.
-
A server version is on the horizon and it will allow you to control access to specific collections.

genesis: Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have edited the documentation to more clearly represent how Zotero works. Sorry for the confusion. You might also find our screencast on collections helpful.
-
I moved it over. You can now find it here. http://www.zotero.org/documentation/beknopte_handleiding_zotero It should be just about exactly the same as the google doc. If there are any errors feel free to post them here and I can fix it, or feel f…

If you export the items in Zotero RDF and check include files. Then send the exported file to your colleague. When your colleague imports the RDF file Zotero should bring in the screen captures as well.
-
Great I will move it over today or tomorrow.

You cannot drag a collection onto My Library. My Library displays all of your items, everything you have collected. Try dragging a normal collection into another collection. This should create a subcollection. As to your second problem, draging item…

Here you go. This is a zip of the entire zotero folder and this is a zip of the RDF export from that collection. Can I be of any other assistance?
-
Hi John, Could you give us the URL for the page. The location you gave is where the snapshot is located on your drive.

Thanks for the comment. An AnthroSource translator is in the works and should be available in the near future.

Zotero stores everything on your computer in a subdirectory of your Firefox profile directory. That is why Zotero can be used offline as well. In most cases, you will find your Zotero files here: On a Mac: /Users//Library/Application Support/Firefo…

For the time being you might try copying the Zotero folder in your Firefox profile. You can then replace the Zotero folder on the next machine with this one. The Zotero folder is: On a Mac: /Users//Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles//zot…

Hi Jeff, It sounds like you are doing everything as you should. Zotero is not compatible with the current version of Melvyl, but the new version of Melvyl, slated to launch around Labor day will be. So in just a few weeks the full catalog should be…

hmm, strange I captured several items form ERIC earlier today and http://eric.ed.gov/ worked fine. Could you post a example of a URL and the name of the item you are trying to capture. We can hopefully figure out what is keeping some people from gr…

Hi fpmcnel, I just tried out the ERIC translator again and it worked with http://eric.ed.gov. Are you using a proxy server? yours, Trevor
