In general, it is better to move your entire Zotero database. The newly released Sync preview makes this even easier. If your using the beta version of 1.5 all you need to do is to use your forum login to sync your collection across multiple machine…

Please post it to the Dev list. Where some of the dev community can take a look at it and then add it to the styles page.

There is no set limit to the number of items you can have in Zotero. That said, the program will start to move a bit slower when you get into tens of thousands of records.

Can you explain how the tool bar is hidden, or what it is hidden under. Zotero fits inside your browser, so it should always be visible if you can see your entire browser window. Can you link to a screenshot? Or, email a screenshot to support at zot…

In the future you will be able to customize Zotero's reports to do this, but for the time being you can either generate a report which includes the full information on a set of items, or generate a bibliography based on a specific style.

We just pushed out another fix that should resolve the additional issue. As always, your copy of Zotero should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Now in the General pane of the Zotero prefs. To open the prefe…

Just tried the two links and they both worked fine on my machine and two other machines here in the office. Not sure what to make of that.

To make sure I understand you right you can use the other four tabs (Info, Attachments, Tags, and Related). Can you try disabling any other Firefox extensions you are running?

This is a frequent request, one that the dev team is excited about, but one which they will probably not get to for quite some time. In the long run the plan is to abstract the Zotero interface so that it can be used in various configurations, inclu…

Zotero, and for that matter any other bibliographic software I can think of, simply have no way to know that T. S. Eliot is the same person as Thomas Sterns Eliot as opposed to a different person named Trevor Stanley Eliot. For the foreseeable fut…

I think some of Zotero's approaches to build bibliographies, could be bent to this workflow. For example, create a folder called "My Book" and then create sub-folders that mirror your chapters, and subsections. As you start writing a chapter you c…

Try putting the file name in quotes when you are saving it, so instead of saving it as my-style.csl save it as "my-style.csl".

See the FAQ How do I add an edited volume or a book chapter? A book chapter from an edited volume is entered as a “Book Section”. Click the green new item button and select “Book Section”. You will now see both a “Title” field for the chapter titl…

This issue has come up a few times but has not been completely resolved. See this thread for a bit more information. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3079/

I am not sure what you mean by copy the PDF files to the Zotero library when you link to a file. With many online catalogs Zotero can automatically import PDFs as you capture references. You can also export those files with your collection if you ch…

The link you posted did not work, it is tied to a specific time which has expired. Could you post the citation or search criteria necessary to find the article you have having problems with?

The citation in the pop up is sadly not enough. By structured metadata we mean that the bibliographic information is clearly identified in a consistent fashion. When there is just a plain text citation it is not possible for Zotero to know which par…

I ran into issues on the Washington Indpendent's page that seem to reflect a known issue. See this ticket https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/999 I could not replicate your problems with saving highlighting. Every few seconds your highlights should …

I just tried to grab your record and it came in as a conference paper with a ISSN. Can you make sure you have the most up to date translators by clicking Update Now in the General pane of the Zotero prefs.

Please try the installation suggestions here. If that does not help you might take a look at what Mozilla has to say about the 203 error here.

I took a look at MR Tech Toolkit and did not run into any issues. Are you sure it is the Toolkit that is causing your issue? Can you try disabling any other extensions and see if that resolves the issue? If your problem persists strictly with MR T…

Including access and URL information is generally style specific. Try using a few different styles to confirm that it is a specific style issue, then confirm the rules your style requires and post back here.
