To clarify, are you saying you want to cite Zotero itself, that you want to cite the application?
-
In most cases this problem has to do with citing multiple works by the same author where the author's first name is represented slightly different on different items in your collection. Zotero has no way of knowing that T. Eliot and Thomas Elliot …

Instead of using Google docs you can have Word flatten all your fields. Simply select all and click Ctrl-Shift-F9. Keep in mind that your document will no longer be connected to your Zotero database, so if you change things in the database or want t…

Thanks, bug confirmed and ticket created.

A new version of the EBSCO translator was recently released. Your copy of Zotero should auto-update within 24 hours, or you can update manually by clicking Update Now in the General pane of the Zotero prefs. To open the preferences pane click the g…

From what you have reported it sounds like you are experiencing intended behavior. To clarify, just like the Music library in iTunes Zotero's "My Library" folder will always contain every item in your collection. Any collection you create is merely …

That's strange... So, if you click the link above, and then click on the article icon in the location bar you get the metadata for the item, and the item icon but you are not getting the PDF? Here are a few things we can try. 1. Is there a smal…

You need to grab the item with the icon in the location bar on either the search results page or the abstract page. The link to the PDF will not import the item. For example try grabbing this item, you should get the full PDF as well. http://ieeexp…

If you would like to get involved with development join the dev list. Introduce yourself, lay out your experience, and tell the other developers what you would like to work on.

xc2121 - Can you look at what the page numbers look like for the original item in your collection? My guess is that the pages look like 2301-11, which means that your CSL is doing what you want, but that your data is lacking. Jokke - It might be p…

I don't believe that any of the existing Author-date styles use ibid. Is there a style that you want to use that does?
-
To clarify, are you trying to highlight and comment on a PDF? Zotero's highlighting features only work on HTML pages.

I think there is a problem here, but before I create a ticket I want to make sure we have it properly diagnosed. (Smith, 2006; Smith, 2005, Smith, 2004, pág. 1) is clearly wrong. Right now the plugin is not displaying page numbers for the other tw…

The multiple citations feature organizes the citations in the order in which you place them. There are plans to allow you to more easily reorder the citations in the edit citation window but for the time being they should appear in the order you sel…

To see all the collections a item is in select the item, then push the Option key on a Mac or the Ctrl key on a PC. You should see all the collections the item is in highlighted in the left column.

If you are so inclined you can already use Zotero with RefViz. All you need to do is export the collection you want to work with in RIS and import it into RefViz. There is a lot of interest and excitement about developing visualization tools ontop o…

There are plans to enable that kind of parent child relationship between items. For the time being you can enter the information as a book, then duplicate it and switch it to a book section. Then duplicate that book section and just swap out autho…

Just to clarify. Are you taking snapshots of PDFs instead of storing them as attachments?
-
1. Yes, It is planed for Zotero to function with such volume. 2. Yes, Our devs use collections with around 10,000 items in them for testing. 3. Yes, There are at least a handful of users we know of with collections of that size.

This is a difficult issue that has not been resolved. You can see a rather extensive discussion of the issues involved here. There is a outstanding ticket for these issues as well. Until the ticket is addressed you will need to manually edit the …

Can you try following the steps for Debugging Broken Documents.

If you are trying to move your entire library it is generally recommended that you move your entire Zotero directory. This should resolve both your issues.

Are you talking about organizing the anthology in your collection or organizing it in a bibliography?
-
For the time being there is no particularly elegant solution. In the future Zotero will be implementing a more hierarchical data model which will solve this, and a wide array of other issues like it, but for the time being there are a few hacks you …

We have pushed out some fixes for working with Zotero's RDF. Can you try re-exporting and importing the problem collection.

The core development team has a considerable amount of work to do before they can consider turning to integration with mind mapping tools like Freemind. However, in April an adjustment was made to allow users to store Freemind files inside Zotero. A…

Could you post which style you are having trouble with as well as a example of what the citations should look like for that style and what actually look like?

From my understanding Pubmed does not have a OpenURL resolver, so no. With that noted, if you use your institutions resolver the pubmed link should show up as one of the top places to find the given article.
