Looks like the problem is gone now. Thanks!

Hmm, I installed the beta version and reinstalled the plugin, but the behavior seems to persist.

I sent a toy example that should illustrate the behavior. Even just refreshing Zotero (without actually adding a citation) also seems to cause the behavior. On the more minor note - I misspoke a little. The cursor resides outside (not inside) the f…

Got it. I replaced with just some random text, and it still validates and works OK. I think I am good to go, except that in name particles like "van" the first letter still gets capitalized (except when it is not the first citation, in a group of…

OK, I got it to work, I think. I had taken out the line: http://www.zotero.org/styles/oecologia

I also can't seem to install a custom style. I made very minor tweaks to the Oecologia style and saved it as a .csl file, but can't seem to successfully install it. I tried 1) Installing from Zotero preferences, and 2) dragging file and dropping in …

I could try if you still think it necessary. However, I just updated to FF 4.0.1, and it does sort as expected now. I apparently forgot the rule to always update everything before you report an error! Thanks all for helping me out with this.

It looks the like the sort order is as expected (like csledit) when I create bibliography from selected items. That is, when I use the modified besj style. Computer 1 is Win XP Pro with Service pack 3 Computer 2 is Win 7 Pro (32 bit) FF language is…

I tried a few things. 1. In csledit.xul the unmodified besj style does not sort as desired (sorts instead by first UPPER CASE word in family name). The modified style (with demote-non-dropping-particle = "never") does sort as expected (by first wor…

I don't get the expected sort order with ASM. "van" still is placed at the very end of the Bibliography. FYI, I am using an older version of Word (Word 2003).

I am using the British Ecological Society Journals style and still seem to have an issue with name particles in the bibliographic sort. For example "van de Pol 2006" and "van Houtan 2011" are sorted, respectively, with P and H. When I change the val…

Thanks for doing that. Looking at the file helped me figure out how to change a few thinks like title case. I did find one other behavior that I don't know how to fix. The first citation of a paper with three authors, all three are listed, e.g., (S…

I think it does apply to all BES journals. The author guidelines on the BES website have subtle differences, but when you look at the actual published journals, they look the same.

I think I have found several other errors in the style for the Journal of Animal Ecology. I suspect they are pretty easy fixes, but unfortunately I lack the CSL coding skills make the fixes. There are possible workarounds for each, but the workaroun…
