@naimfirat thanks for sharing!

Thank you @adamsmith!

Zotero 7 has a great interface, but Zotfile is not working anymore. I would also like to revert to Zotero 6.
-
Thanks!

@if87, yes, I mean annotations can be organized by category, while still being linked to the papers, and the category structure can be organized in a paper outline (or any other kind of tree structure) and then exported. You can also add standalone …

Thank you, I wasn't aware that could pin section. From the same menu, collapsing all sections also helps.

@JoSimister, @SteffenHe I love Zotero and I use it everyday, but I just wanted to let you know, that Citavi can organize items by "category" and organize categories in an outline letting you "draft" a paper by ordering the annotations. The annotatio…

+ 1 to the Recently Read collection so I can finally close my tabs

@FeralFlora looks like it works now! First I had to make sure that all the citations had a long DOI with the DOI plugin. After that, I rerun Linter and it fetched the abstract. EDIT I talked too soon... only some abstracts (a minority) are fetched…

Try Linter: https://github.com/northword/zotero-format-metadata

@FeralFlora Hello, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to try a new add-on. I have installed Linter (version 0.44 for Zotero 6), but it does not retrieve the abstract. Does the version for Zotero 7 get it?

I have the same problem. I am working on Windows. The "Show field codes instead of their values" checkbox is already unchecked. The problem appears and disappears. Sometime I get the "ADDIN ZOTERO_ITEM CSL_CITATION" right away, sometime I may try to…

Right, I can see that items have been added (I see the number of items next to the folder that had been created) but the folder looks empty, and in addition, all the other folders look empty.

+ 1 merging highlights on the same page

I have just tried the plugin at https://github.com/MuiseDestiny/zotero-reference, it's really good.
-
I think it's a great plugin! It allows you to set up advanced workflows in Zotero; for example, a workflow similar to what one can do in Citavi, or to the Discourse Graph in Roam Research. But with the convenience of Zotero.

Actually I have found an amazing add-on called zotero-better-notes: (https://github.com/windingwind/zotero-better-notes) It does exactly that very elegantly: https://imgur.com/a/InBtMCK

I have just realized one can do an advanced search among the notes: https://imgur.com/a/HERcveR

@dstillman How do you update Zotero iOS? Is it automatic?
-
+ 1 for adding the black color please!! I don't understand why it wasn't added from the start. Isn't black "the standard" color for a pen? I aslo would like to be able set different default colors for the pen and the highligther respectively.

@bwiernik, I am happy to report that the Google Scholar Citations plugin is now working. So the solution to the problem is to disable the plugin for a couple of days and then enable it again.

The message above was meant for @bwiernik

@DWL-SDCA , thanks, I have tried but that does not solve the problem. The funny thing is that if I use Zotero on my old computer, and I can still update the citation count and then sync it. But it's not a permanent solution.

Would that change if I use a VPN?
-
Too bad! Thank you for your prompt answers.

Thank you. I uninstalled the third-party Google Scholar Citations plugin and the problem went away. I really like that plugin though. I tried to re-install it and the problem came back. Will I be able to use it agin in the future?
