• Ah, so I just tried a reinstall (for the second time) and this times a box popped up saying Zotero is installing the word for Mac plug in. All working now - still mystified as to what the problem was. Thanks very much for your assistance!

• Apologies, I wasn't very clear. Yes, under extensions it has the Libre Office extension, but only that - nothing for word.
