Yep! There was also a refresh button on the FF site, which I pressed, and now it all seems to be back to normal again. So, thanks A LOT for your assistance, and back to work for me :-)

Ok, but just to say that when I go to the FF website (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new) it gives me (right at the top) the following message: "Congrats, you are using the latest version of FF".

Thanks for this suggestion, Adam. Do I first have to un-install the current 64-bit version before I install the 32-bit version, or will the installation of the latter override what is currently on my laptop?
