Following up: Try setting extensions.zotero.launchNonNativeFiles to TRUE. Worked for me.

Thanks Dan. I just solved the problem. It was not the profile. Instead, I set the hidden preference "extensions.zotero.launchNonNativeFiles" to true and now everything works as before.

I agree with the three previous posters. There should be an option to turn proxy messages off... Proxy redirection is super useful but the notification in my case completely unnecessary. Thanks!

Update: I tested this issue on a separate PC (Win 7 x64 with FF 4.0.1 and Zotero 2.1.7) and was able to replicate this issue.

Nothing in the error console unfortunately... All I can see is that if zotero is in fullscreen mode and I open a new window, the google toolbar is not visible. If zotero is not fullscreen, the google toolbar works just fine in all new windows...
