Science works fine for me. You might want to try clicking Reset Translators and Styles in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences. If this doesn't work, can you post the URL of an article that doesn't grab?

This is a limitation of the OpenOffice plug-in. It's fixed (along with many other bugs) in the 2.0 plug-in, which will be released with Zotero 1.5.

PubMed stores only abstracts, not full-text, and thus would probably not work too well. Our algorithm currently tries to extract a random text snippet and searches for that; even if we tried to extract only the abstract, I'd imagine our success rate…

Iddo, you need to install the PDF indexer for this feature to work. Go to "Search" in the Zotero preferences and click the "Check for installer" button. This should enable the option for you.
-
Have you tried the new version of the installer (updated 19 hours ago)?

Assuming your Microsoft User Data folder is located in your Documents folder, try typing the following in the terminal cd ~/Documents/Microsoft\ User\ Data/Word\ Script\ Menu\ Items/Zotero/ python MacWord.py addCitation

Zotero's MARC import supports only standard binary MARC 21 records (see the specification at http://www.loc.gov/marc/specifications/specrecstruc.html). These binary records are not human-readable. What you have here looks like an ASCII serialization…

adam.smith is correct. The Vancouver style uses in-text (numbered) citations, with a reference list at the end of the document, so those options are inactive because they are irrelevant. The "Display Citations As..." options are exclusively for styl…

Not yet, but soon. See https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/989

You need to sort by the "issued" variable to get chronological ordering and for disambiguate-add-year-suffix to work. Change: To:

When you generate a bibliography, there should be an option to save as HTML. If you use this option, then the created bibliography includes COinS markup automatically.
-
I was under the impression that this was the proper format for IEEE, but reviewing the style guide, you are right. The corrected style can be obtained at the Zotero styles site (under "Dev Styles").

Eventually we hope to supplement the RDF/XML export with Turtle export, which should be more concise, more readable, and eliminate the rdf: nodes (which are an artifact of using Mozilla's RDF support). In the short term, we could just give the rdf: …

Are you running the latest version of Zotero? Do you have automatic updating of translators enabled? Have you tried clicking "Reset Translators and Styles" in the Advanced pane of the Zotero preferences? The issue you reported here was fixed in an u…

miluska: the Report Errors option should be under the cog/gear menu, third from the bottom. If you have Zotero 1.0.1, there's no reason you shouldn't have this menu option. The output from this feature will help us diagnose the problem; without it, …

jcc: is the same reference appearing multiple times in your bibliography? Are you sure you don't have two copies of the same reference in your Zotero library?
-
This isn't a bug. The reason that the choice is not available is that IEEE style does not use footnotes for references; instead, it uses in-text references. If you pick a style that uses footnotes (e.g., Chicago Note with Bibliography), you should s…

I've fixed this in SVN. If it's urgent, you can either: 1) Manually change line 1137 of extensions/zotero@chnm.gmu.edu/chrome/content/zotero/xpcom/cite_compat.js (inside your Firefox profile directory) from: if(element["form"] && element["f…

OpenOffice supports two different icon sizes. The official build uses the smaller (16x16) icons, at least on most platforms. NeoOffice uses the larger (26x26) icons. Since we don't have 26x26 icons, you don't get icons on the toolbar. Eventually, we…

If you're running rc3, no. If you're running the latest version from SVN or the development XPI, then, or a numbered citation style, you probably want: (...) If you upgrade to the development XPI, you'll also need the late…

Just a warning to those using csledit.xul: in rc3, only the APA style and the new number-based styles (Nature, NLM, and IEEE) are using the new schema, and some subtle modifications have been made in the dev builds since then. Support for the old sc…

The latest dev code is untested with OpenOffice. You could try it (by pasting the code from plugin.vb into the OpenOffice plug-in), but we can't make any promises.

At some point, we may be able to run a standalone Zotero bibliography engine using XULRunner, although the resource requirements may still be substantial.

Re: close/minimize boxes, we all work on Macs, which is why this is the way it is. We can move it on other OSes. Re: dragging, this is a limitation that we cannot avoid. As far as I know, there is no way we can get the DOM node at the mouse positio…

caseylw: I saw and corrected the issue with formatting of page numbers. I will commit these changes soon, and they should appear in 1.0 (if not earlier). I don't appear to be having any problems with editors, however. As for your other issues, (1) …

That's because I haven't committed the patch yet ;-). But, look for it to work in a couple of days.

caseylw: You are right. There are errors in the formatting of an edited book. I'll take care of these.

Zotero will incorporate prefix, suffix, and editing features in version 1.0; these features are already implemented in our developmental builds. Re: ibid, my understanding (correct me if I am wrong) is that the latest version of APA does not includ…

I've created a ticket for importing MeSH keywords, and it should get taken care of in the near future. A forum fosters a community-based approach to troubleshooting, fitting into the open-source vision that Zotero represents. While the need to regi…

Off the top of my head (but should validate): At the moment, we don't support the "collapse" option, but I will be committing a patch to handle it to SVN shortly, and it should be in 1.0. rc3 and earlier will simply ignore it. If t…
