• Well I'll be damned. That worked for me, too. I can't comment on whether it's a long-term fix since I've only just tried it, but I'm extremely happy for the moment. Thanks a lot, caleb. Any ideas on why this would fix the problem, developers?

• Repairing the office installation does not fix the problem (tested with Office Enterprise 2007 on Vista Home Premium 32bit).
