So the expanding of multiple parents can be cut using Occam's razor. But the Alt + Tab somehow still seems to play a role in all this...

I think I figured it out... I guess I double click to quickly after I have selected a child item. Zotero will then interpret me selecting the item as the first of a double click and the third one as dragging the file from its parent. So either Zote…

Yeah, sorry Windows' notepad apparently only searches through selected text...

Another one: Debug ID: D1471227386 I don't know if I am helping here, but here's another one still: Debug ID: D269939225

Debug ID: D914505997 It might have been that I dragged it back before sending in the debug report. However, I sent in a new one while making sure I didn't do that. Now there is no "mozSourceNode not set" line.

Actually... after a few tries it happened again with Zutilo turned off... Report ID: 257668779.

Actually that screenshot was made later using AltGr as I couldn't take one using Alt + Tab. So it is a continuity error. Disabling Zutilo seems to have solved the problem. Thank you very much for your help! Now I feel a bit silly for not having t…

Strange indeed. That's why it took me a while to pin down the exact circumstances. It is a permanent detachment. If I don't immediately notice the change and manually correct it, it would ruin my whole collection as parents and children are separat…

I had disabled ZotFile, but still saw it happening. However, I am now able to replicate it! The anomaly happens under these circumstances in Standalone Zotero for Windows (10): 1. I go to a (sub)collection 2. I expand one parent item to reveal its…

The attachment will detach from the parent item and appear in the folder as an independent item. Like a parentless pdf.

I am using the Zotfile plugin, but not to move items to a different location. Sorry for my delayed response. Finishing my thesis right now :)

I'm done figuring it out! It worked. For anyone who stumbled upon this topic, this is how I did it :-)

"CSL styles rely on a shared set of language-specific CSL locale files. Localization data can also be embedded in the styles themselves to override the data stored in these locale files." Apparently this might be helpful after all... I am trying to…

Thank you, but I don't need to change the CSL, I need to change the zotero.properties file for the nl-NL version or add my own nl-BE version without corrupting the signature of my Firefox addon...

Had the same issue. Use the Firefox add-on version when and refresh your citations and bibliography and you should be fine.

Ok, thanks! Thanks again and I wish you a nice weekend :)

It worked! Thanks a lot! You are a hero! I was using the standalone version of Zotero. Apparently the error is indeed related to the standalone version. That one keeps generating the error. The Firefox version, however, handles it like a charm :) …

Anybody any ideas? :)

RDF-file: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Agc_DRy9N4WXsKhJbiwm7_aFdLYP7A I added some BEREC-files as well as I seem to have the problem there. Originally I didn't add the time of publication, but that was just an attempt to resolve this. In case of the BEREC …

I have singled out the likely cause of the problem. Two of those sources have a title that starts out exactly the same: Commission staff working document Accompanying the document Report from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Counc…

In case of a footnote, you probably have to change the default footnote style into what you want your citations to look like. Apply the "Inline Black" style to the normal text. You might have to re-insert your citation. This workaround only works …

I found a solution The following instructions will allow you to format your citations differently from the main text in Word. Even after Zotero (re)inserts the citation. It will prevent Zotero from overriding or resetting the styles applied to your …
