The new document thing didn't work, but chkdsk /R /F did! Thank you!
-
Thanks! The modern/quick format bar method seems to work. Any thoughts on how to enter an issue/bug/feature request to get it to work in classic view? Not sure if it counts as a feature request or how to frame it.
-
That did it! Thanks.
-
Hmm I see a change posted to the style repo but after updating zotero, restarting Word, and refreshing zotero in Word, I still see the error.
-
Later today would be great - as long as it's fixed in the next 24 hrs or so I'm okay. Thanks!
-
I definitely don't have ", Portland, OR, USA" as part of the conference name or anywhere else besides in the Place field: Portland, OR, USA I don't know why that was even an issue or on the change log because it was working fine until yesterday. …

That seems to have done the trick! I initially got the same red (!) symbol but pressing the sync button actually worked this time. Is it okay to stay with the dev branch now I guess until the next official build comes out? Thanks!
-
Correct. Debug ID is D1146954422
-
After the tags message I hit okay, zotero and/or Firefox freezes up for a second while displaying a blue Processing bar, then I'm right back at the screen I had originally with the red (!) icon and an un-synced zotero.
-
Sorry I thought the report ID would have that info. Basically, when I expand zotero I see the red (!) and when I click on it it says: Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing. Click the sync icon to resolve them. When I hover over syn…

Got it - will give it another shot next time I need it. Thanks!

Oh well, thanks for the head's up. I've seen the auto-generate button in the settings of the Word plugin, but MEDLINE doesn't index all the journals I cite so I rarely use it.
-
Great! Should we take this off-forum? You can find me at dustyn@nyu.edu
-
Great, thanks!
-
Yes! Perfect. Thank you! Is there somewhere I can read about what locators are, and how NOT to include them so I'm always able to collapse? Thanks!
-
Beautiful! Thanks, looking forward to it.
-
Oh okay. Is there a better way than this forum to request the fix? It's an extremely popular citation format for almost all fields of engineering, I'm surprised that it's been a month and a half since the last update with this major error.
-
Nice patch! Has the official Zotero version of the style been updated or do we have to do this individually? The last update was 5/30 so it doesn't look like it. Are there plans to do so? Thanks!
-
Also, for conference paper references, there needs to be a space between the name of the conference and the open parenthesis ( that encloses the location and year. Can anyone help with this as well as the webpage error? Thanks!
-
Thanks I tried, but really don't understand how to use it.
-
However, I just noticed an error in the way web pages are cited. Instead of a URL and access date for a given website, the reference shows up as: NASA - Astronaut Glove Competition, (n.d.). While there is no example of reference format for…

awesomesauce. Thank you!

Oh! I never saw that checkbox before, but yet it was checked. Un-checking it did the trick for the extra URLs, etc. But yes I was seeing that in the Word bibliography. Thanks for tackling the 3 authors et al issue!
-
Argh okay sorry about that! Thanks for checking!
-
Nevermind! There was an Apple software update lurking in the background that seems to have caused the problem. Once I updated then re-opened Word, it was fine.

Oh, here's a citation example by SAE themselves: Korona, F. and Akin, D., "Evaluation of a Hybrid Elastic EVA Glove," SAE Technical Paper 2002-01-2311, 2002, doi:10.4271/2002-01-2311. pulled from: http://papers.sae.org/2002-01-2311 …
-
Oh sorry - it's the one listed for Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine
-
For example, when pulling down a paper like this to Zotero: http://papers.sae.org/2000-01-2258 I get a citation like this: Moiseev N, Stoklitsky A, Kisselev B. Development of and Research into the Ergometric Evaluation Method for Space S…

I 2nd fgregg's request for an SAE translator in the original thread here. I too use the "Report" style but it leaves a bit to be desired, and if I tweak one style to my liking, I still need to tweak another style the next time I write something tha…

Oh okay, good to know!
