It should not. "As needed" means that it will sync only files that you open. That being said, it seems you need to deal with that Gb of screenshots that are causing so much trouble to you. :)

Thanks, but it does not work. In fact, I am not exporting but rather generating a bibliography from the items in my publications. Even if I sort and then generate (to clipboard), the pasted bibliography is in alphabetical order.

Yes, I do. I have just copied and pasted the whole thing (except bibliography) into fresh word document. I clicked on the add bibliography button, waited a while (it takes a lot) and then get the bibliography as expected, except for NO italics
