Thanks for the answer Dan. I've created an account on transifex. Waiting for your go :)

FYI, same issue here, but not with books. I have two articles with same title, and same year of publication. Everything else is different: authors, journal title, doi, issn, volume, pages, month and day of publication, etc. Those two articles are i…

Fudge! I did update the translator from both Zotero and Zotero Connector, I did reload the page, I wasn't using a proxy, and still it didn't work. Now it does. Sorry that I made you test... Have a nice day.

No folder icon when http. Folder icon when https.

hey @adamsmith I saw on github that the issue is closed. Thanks for the fix, but it doesn't work when not using https. For instance: https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/le-pharmacien-hospitalier-et-clinicien/vol/52/issue/4 > OK http://www.sci…

Thanks to you!

Bonjour, Je n'ai pas compris ce de quoi vous parlez, mais généralement une institution qui souhaite que l'on suive des règles pour la citation fournit des "instructions aux auteurs". Ce sont ces instructions qu'il faudrait chercher pour déterminer …

@bwiernik I'm ok with the popup (I don't know how to do it though). But users will have to delete the folders created in AppData and LocalAppData after the install.

I found an user-friendly way: blocking the auto-update of Zotero. I modified those lines in App\Zotero\defaults\preferences\prefs.js as follows: user_pref("app.update.auto", false); user_pref("app.update.enabled", false); This will require the user…

Well, I gave you two! But yes, I'll try to find something more user-friendly.

This is normal. Zotero has to restart when updating, and if you launch Zotero not by the portable launcher, the profile cannot be found. To update, just download the new version on github ( https://github.com/pedrom34/ZoteroPortable/releases ) or on…

I don't think it could lead to problems. I launched this version from a network drive several times. But my network didn't crashed when Zotero was running. So, as I don't really know, I'll switch SupportsUNC to warn. Thanks for your feedback :)

Update: Source is now on GitHub: https://github.com/pedrom34/ZoteroPortable

Update: I've found a solution. You can download new version here: - edit - ref. GitHub below to download last version. Link to Portable apps topic: https://portableapps.com/node/56957

@mel47 de rien ! Thoses %Appdata% leftovers are pissing me off. I cannot figure out a way to make Zotero fully portable. I think it's related to the prefs.js file that Zotero re-locate everytime in %appdata%. I created a thread on portableapps as …

Thanks!

I just realized that, even if this works, Zotero still creates a Zotero folder in %AppData% I don't really understand why... Could someone explain? (poke @danstillman )

So, Here's the installer: - edit - ref. GitHub below to download last version. It's not finished yet. You'll find some trace of the template I used if you look into the files and folders after installation. But it seems to me that it is workin…

Will do! Thanks :)

Ok. I'll post a link here tomorrow.

I made a comment on your ticket. A workaround would be to use this page http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/search and to enter your search terms in the advanced search fields.

I just created a Zotero 5 portable installer with portableapps model. I've tested it quickly, it seems to work. - Is it OK with the zotero's developers if I publish it on the internet? (PortableApps forums or GitHub) - Are people here interested in…

Gave it a try: I created a private group to transfer files from my "current work" profile to my "archive" profile. I went to the preferences of both profiles to add my sync account. Unchecked the sync of the collection, checked the sync of the group…

Overkill because it's based on a distant machine somewhere on the planet when my data is on my computer in the two profiles. Anyway, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
-
I'm sorry, I don't get it. How am I supposed to do that? Never used groups, even if (I think) I know what it is. Doesn't it mean uploading the references and files to zotero server to download it back to a local profile? Isn't it a bit overkill to s…
-
@adamsmith No... What's the best way? I have two zotero profiles. One for my ongoing work, and one for archive. Once my ongoing work is finished I export the folder and import it to the archive zotero profile.

Up!

This cannot be done locally? Anyhow, I'm interested in any documentation that you may give to me!

At least it's sort of planned :D

:'( I was expecting this answer... When you say future... is it more 2 months or 10 years?
