I think BS is an acceptable alternative to what it represents. It's commonly used on TV and in the work place as a polite alternative. I'm happy to look past that at the reality that many new users face. I agree with you about what should be, but in…

@0avasns, http://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#etiquette . I don't see anything wrong with Oavasns' post. It accurately reflects the situation many first-time Zotero users find themselves in which is a serious barrier to wider adoption. Th…

It is a shame this issue is not given much value because there are many minor adjustments which could be made to help alleviate the problem. For example, in addition to the suggestions I posted above, it's very easy to convert JSTOR URLs to DOIs by …

How one chooses to use Zotero doesn't change the fact that there's a demand for bulk metadata retrieval, and even if it's only one time in the majority of cases, it's likely to be the first experience for new users. Using what seems to be a killer f…

But I don't understand - when you do systematic reviews - why on earth would you download the PDFs individually and then to retrieve metadata? Why not go through actual databases (or even through google scholar directly) and use Zotero there? My und…
