Great idea. I myself happen to work with many seventeenth- and eighteenth-century titles that are similarly verbose. We'll try to add this feature in a future release.

My mistake: I forgot to tell you to rezip the folder without any compression (e.g. zip -r0 ...). For complete instructions on modifying your Zotero extension, please see our developer document Modifying Zotero Files. I just tested the zh-TW locale…

We have not yet incorporated the traditional Chinese localization into our release build (the translation is new). We will include it in our next release, which is planned for the very near future. If you would like to take advantage of the tradit…

I looked into this issue and found that the Trinity College catalog generally works well with Zotero. Unfortunately, some library records with unusual pagination descriptions (like the one above) do not import correctly. At present we do not captu…

I'll need to look into question 1. As for question 2, you will need to create an APA CSL localized for Hebrew. CSLs are stored in Zotero's sqlite database. You can also find the code at the end of the scrapers.sql file inside the Zotero extensio…

Although we support most Voyager OPACs, we currently do not support the U Penn library catalog because it does not allow for direct MARC record download (only "Brief Record" and "Full Record"). If you can convince someone in the library to add the …

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We have added conference paper support to our RIS translator, and your Zotero client will update automatically within 24 hours. If you would like to try the new translator immediately, go to Zote…

And of course if you're using a locale other than en-US, you'll want to modify that particular locale's pane.collections.library line.

We're not aware of any reliable Unicode implementation of BibTeX. If you could point us in the right direction, perhaps we could help. Otherwise, I would suggest that you export using another format.

Great question, and one that we've been working on. One quick way would be to modify the WP theme to generate a COinS tag for each post. For example, you could place the following code in the relevant template files (e.g. index.php, single.php, a…

You've probably already discovered this by now, but you can show/hide the tag selector by clicking the tags icon (just left of the gear).

jsimonen: Our ISI Web of Science translator should now resolve the problem you were experiencing. Your Zotero installation should have automatically updated to the new translator by now. ksprague: We are aware of our lack of full support for Orbis…

When using IE Tab, Firefox and its other extensions have no idea what you're viewing, since IE is doing all of the rendering. Thus there's no way for Zotero to detect and extract metadata.
-
Image and file saving are now supported in beta 3. Just right-click a URL or image and save the object as a Zotero snapshot.
-
ABC-CLIO recently upgraded their interface. We have updated our translator to account for the change, and it will roll out shortly.
-
We are also very much interested in implementing this feature. It requires a hierarchical data model that is on our horizon.

You'll be pleasantly surprised with the next release.

APA (and other export formats) are undergoing major revision in the next beta release and should resolve most if not all of these issues. Please stay tuned.

You're very welcome.

It looks like that plug-in doesn't generate a URL with a process ID. As a result, the returned pages don't contain all of the information that Zotero requires (in this case, access to MARC binaries).

I'm not familiar with one, but are you talking about a LOC Firefox search plug-in? If so, please point us to a copy of the plug-in for testing. Or are you talking about the search box at the top of the LOC home page? If it's the latter, I don't b…

Yes. Returning a copy of the zotero folder to your Firefox profile and reinstalling Zotero will restore your data.

You can add editors and translators by adding a new author/contributor (click the plus sign next to the existing author field). Then click on "Author" and select the contributor's role: Author, Contributor, Editor, Series Editor, Translator. We do…

Right clicking (or control-clicking) a collection or an item (or several selected items) will bring up the "Create Bibliography" option. Please note that bibliography functionality is about to improve vastly with the beta 3 release of Zotero.

As noted in the FAQ, Zotero data is stored in a subdirectory of your Firefox profile. On a Mac, you'll usually find that directory here: /Users//Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles//zotero On a Windows machine, it is most likely here: C:\…

As noksagt suggests, you should quit Firefox. Zotero is not still exporting references. Instead, the application encountered some error during the export process and is hung. If you try to restart Windows, you should get a prompt to quit any unre…

First the bad news: our RIS import translator follows the format protocol by first checking for "TY -" in the file's opening line. Since Nature prepends some publication info, our manual file translator fails to recognize the file. Now the good ne…

Thanks for all of your helpful comments on proper APA citation formatting. We ought to be able to handle most of the changes requested: 1. We can add a space after each author initial 2. We can adjust Ed/Eds to be Ed./Eds. 3. We can change Pp to p…

Great work implementing COinS on that references page. One problem that I foresee is the disambiguation between references and the Wikipedia article itself. You'll want to add another COinS entry the article itself and then tag each reference as "…

Please note that if you're trying to import any item other than a book, the Amazon translator will fail. Our next beta release will include a new translator that supports other Amazon media types.
