You can also select several items or an entire collection in Zotero, then right-click and select "Create Bibliography..."

Importing a PDF via the filesystem should also index the file. Indexing will only occur, however, if the PDF is either text (i.e. not scanned pages) or contains a text layer (like JSTOR PDFs). You could try downloading a JSTOR PDF to your desktop …

You can use the "Zotero Edit Bibliography" button in the Word plugin to add uncited works to your bibliography.

Thanks for the suggestion.

We have adjusted our ACM translator to handle these escaped characters. Your Zotero translators will update automatically within 24 hours, or you can click "Update now" in Zotero preferences. Thanks for bringing this problem to our attention.

CiteULike is generating an incomplete RIS file for some records, including that one. I've contacted their development team about this issue. Thanks for bringing this problem to our attention.

From where are you importing these names?
-
Zotero cannot import metadata from a PDF file. And neither can any other application.
-
This functionality has always been available. Highlight multiple items (using shift- or control-clicking) and then drag them.
-
Zotero already does this. Try Chicago Manual of Style, for example.

The problem is not on our end. RePEc is only partially functional right now, and automated citation data is not currently available. Per their home page: "IDEAS has moved to a new server. Some parts of the site are not yet functioning properly"
-
heyyotyson: Zotero cannot import PDFs directly the way you're describing.

Are you trying to use OpenOffice.org or Microsoft Word? You don't need Zotero.dot for OpenOffice (OOo uses Zotero.oxt). Please follow the upgrade instructions here to the letter, and you should be able to resolve the problem.

You almost certainly have the old plugin still installed. Please make sure that you remove the existing plugin via the Extension Manager. Then restart OOo. Then add new plugin via the extension manager and restart OOo again.
-
Have you tried setting DC.Type to a Zotero item type? For example, book, journalArticle, bookSection, etc?

We plan to support Firefox 3 when it is released. http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1684 http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1830

You're welcome.

It looks like Nature doesn't export citation data for older articles.
-
Zotero already does have a translator for Epicurious, and it stores saved recipes using the generic "Document" item type. I hope you'll find that it meets your needs. Additional recipe translators using other sites would be welcome.

There was no error. We just didn't have a translator for U. of Chicago Journals, but we do now. Your translators will update automatically within 24 hours, or you can click "Update now" in Zotero preferences.

We've found several problems with the ocoins.info generator. Please note that it does not always generate span tags according to the specification (e.g. superfluous author parameter). Book chapter COinS export will be improved in Zotero 1.0.3, but…

As noted in our documentation, the plugin is compatible with Word 2007.

Bruce is right that Zotero ultimately needs to be able to handle multiple titles / names per item, but the problem with WorldCat is somewhat more complicated: they're not embedding any Japanese characters in the structured metadata associated with t…

Is it possible that you have duplicate entries in your Zotero library for the same book?

What do your URLs look like?

Zotero works best with library catalogs and other resources that expose a structured record. Emory's catalog, for example, will display a formatted MARC record for any item in its catalog. With the version of Sirsi that Stanford is running, we don…

Thanks for working on the locale. I'm sure the BZ translators will give you the same information, but here goes: For locales.xml you need to click BZ's download button, edit the downloaded copy, and then upload it back to BZ. You'll need to be a …
