Thanks! BTW, is there a simple way to get URLs and DOIs included in the citations? for some journals they are optional and I would like to be able to include them.

Thanks for that info, Adam. In future, I will use the unlink command. Lacking that knowledge, my laborious solution was to save the document as a .txt doc, that eliminated the Zotero stuff. Then I rebuilt the citations and bibliography. Took me 2 ho…

Thanks, That worked nicely. Have upgraded to vers 5.0, installed the connector for firefox, and found preferences and removed the offending proxy.

I cannot find a proxy tab in Zotero Preferences. I find tabs for "General", "Sync", "Search", "Export", "Cite", and "Advanced" , but not for "Proxies". Also none of those tabs have content related to proxies. What to do?

I am using firefox, so there isnt a connector. Is there a way to do it in firefox?

Adam, Dan, Firefox worked well for most journals. Great solution. I assume that the newly uploaded data will sync with my zotero standalone. Thanks for your help! John

Yes there is a link to the pdf right here on the page and when I click it, the PDF can be downloaded easily to my computer. and then I upload it into my Zotero database. Tedious. I will give you links in a minute. Many thanks!

This is happening using Zotero Standalone on Mac with Safari. The citation process works great, except for these three sources, the PDFs do not download along with the citation.
