okay... I feel stupid now: there was a zombie-zotero-process running, if I killed that, everything works again.. can I somehow delete this entire post? Also, thanks a lot for answering immediately!

If I type zotero in the CLI, nothing happens, so nothing is displayed. The command is executed and I can continue executing more command, i.e. no error is displayed.
