Great! Both differences are related to OS or to user specific options, so I'll add a couple of clarifications if anybody's stumbles upon this workaround. 1. Flatpaks can be installed system-wide, or only for the current user. If it's installed on…

For anybody encountering this after installing Zotero via Flatpak, here is the easier workaround: Step 1: if not available, install manually the Libreoffice / Zotero integration. From within Libreoffice, go to "Tools" -> "Extensions" -> "add"…

I don't see why this should make a difference, but perhaps worth adding that on desktop I'm on Linux (Fedora 31)

Just sent account details to support@zotero.org. Thanks for your time and patience

Great to hear this should be fixed. But to clarify: no, whatever the reason, the issue appeared only with a fresh install of 5.0.80. After setting everything up with a previous version (5.0.77), then updating, things still work fine: upload and down…

I should add that this issue emerges with fresh installs only, and does not appear if you update. So if you have a fully synced backup (and if you're making a fresh install, this is very likely the case), it is possible to use this workaround: 1.…

I forgot to make reference the solution I found to my own original post. I created an R package that facilitates doing all of the above. Instructions on how to achieve this: https://github.com/giocomai/zoteror The package is far from complete, but …

I have what seems to be exactly the same error described above. Latest Zotero giving 503 error when downloading files from NextCloud, but copy/pasting the very same link with password that appears in the error message in a browser works fine and the…

thanks a lot! I couldn't find through the "userOrGroupPrefix/items/itemKey" and somehow missed this in the documentation. All fine now, thanks. And thanks for the tip on zotero-dev, I'll keep this in mind.

thanks for the suggestions. my database was too large for the online repair tool, so I proceeded with the "manual repair instructions". All seems to be fine now, and I managed to add the above-mentioned article that I believed was the culprit. Inte…

thanks. Still odd. Perhaps related to OS/pdf indexing library version, or something. whatever, if it doesn't happen with others, I don't mind. I'll get back to this if it appears again.

I see, that's what I've been doing myself so far. But that's actually super-slow. It's ok if you're looking to get rid of n

There's a Firefox extension called Zotilo that has a one click option for this :-)

excellent, fix confirmed, it presents correctly page ranges now. Thanks!

Hi! you're right. I thought that by deleting and adding again the reference list it would automatically reset manual edits, but evidently this is not the case. After resetting manual edits, all's perfect. Thank you!

Great, thank you for you support. It is now fixed. Reference list still uses 3-em dashes if the item type is "report", but this is really a minor issues, all fine with books, journal articles, newspaper, etc. thanks!

great, thanks!

Absolutely, very much needed... surprised this feature wasn't available in the first place.

I fixed this installing "sun-java6-plugin" from the package manager code: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-plugin I used Zotero and Opneoffice until last week, with the same configuration as all others in this thread, and didn't have an…
