My mistake. @emorales could you make sure that the debug log covers everything up through the error message? (It seems that you stopped the debug log when the Zotero item selection window popped up, which is technically what I asked for)

You should be able to tell your firewall to let Zotero through. Unfortunately we're not going to be able to walk you through this.
-
There just seems to be some sort of issue with your internet connection (as far as Zotero is concerned) and reinstalling will most likely not fix anything. Try disabling any security software that may be interfering and see if it helps. Also see wha…

Could you submit a Debug ID, which encompasses reloading the page and then clicking the URL bar icon?

Have you synced your entire library to zotero.org? Check here: https://www.zotero.org/Gabriellepicard/items If you have, then you could delete your current library (after making backups), Zotero would recreate an empty library, and then you could s…

So as far as Zotero is concerned, importing an RDF file creates entirely new items, which are in no way related to your old ones. Thus, they are also not linked to any items you have previously inserted into your documents. (you discovered this the …

Unfortunately, since Word applies this _after_ Zotero inserts the bibliography, this isn't something we can fix on the Zotero side.Actually that's not exactly true. (at least in Word 2010) For one, Word does this when applying the style, which does…

I also think that embedding actual metadata into citations is a thing of the past. Looking forward, I think it makes the most sense to simply link a reference to its metadata, which would be hosted in a central location (and could be easily updated)…
-
I'm not sure that above is helping very much. Most of us here are fairly well aware of the benefits of embedding structured metadata, RDF(a), linking it to other resources, etc. No one is questioning the need (or at least usefulness) of embedding me…

Also fairly detailed explanation of everything here: https://www.zotero.org/support/installation

Make 'round-trip' feasible (Citations -> Zotero -> Bibliography as RDFa -> Citations) If this is the problem you are trying to solve, then I think RDFa is the wrong approach. Formatted bibliographies often contain less metadata than necessa…

we still only see the opening pages - we cannot enter the pages where we have the posisbility to enter new referencesCan you explain exactly where you are looking? Also, just in case you have not see it, take a look at https://www.zotero.org/suppor…

Worth noting though that the undo functionality here is not complete, since the item that is being kept is irreversibly modified. Also, I wonder, if the item that was moved to trash is restored, would that cause any issues with item IDs? I believe …

Please be more specific about what you are doing, what you are expecting to happen, and what actually happens. I'm not sure what you mean by "input is not recognized"

So for the RDF data, looks like we'll have to implement schema.org vocabulary in our RDF translator first (if not for OWC, it will probably come up at some point in the future anyway) For the xID API, the API seems to not work so well with OCLC num…

I think that technically it should be possible to design a one-click solution for Summon 2.0 using their EndNote/BibTeX exports, which would likely yield much better results than could be achieved with COinS metadata. I played around with it a littl…

IMO the suggested icon is too cluttered. It's hard to tell what's really going on there.I think the current icon is much clearer about its function

What's the URL you're importing from? (exactly as it appears in your URL bar)
-
@adamsmith it's https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/32274/word-2013-zotero-lost-contact-with-bibliography/#Item_6 As it says there, you probably should have received an error message when switching styles "Zotero experienced an error updating your…

UTF-8 doesn't disallow character references, so it's not wrong, but it's also unnecessary. Shouldn't be an issue if you use DOMParser. I'll experiment with the RDF (I was actually looking for the RDF API, but got distracted when I found the xISBN AP…

Hmmm, I'll have to take a look at some ISBNs and see what we can do. I can't say this is surprising, since an ISBN search on WorldCat sometimes returns multiple results and the xisbn API appears to only return one. We can use OCLC ID when using the …

That's a shame about the authors, but we could probably use the API to supplement some metadata (e.g. publisher info). The API appears to be quite fast, so there should be minimal overhead.

Thanks for testing this out. We updated the export translator to do this by default. It will also create a PDF directory that you can just copy over to your EndNote library directory. You can update the translator via Preferences -> General ->…
-
Of course that's for pages that are not supported by Zotero at all, you can still use the Zotero bookmarklet for supported pages.
-
Well, sort of depends on what you mean by "get rid". If you jut want to hide the Zotero icon, then you can change that in Zotero preferences under General tab. Edit: but also, as per the link above, if you have this configured correctly, you should…

Could you submit a Debug ID for an attempt to save an article that you expect to also get a PDF for? I'm also not sure if you're just giving us an example of your proxy, or if that is the actual setting that you have. There is no point in proxying d…

But if you can temporarily restore the old location, the better thing to do is to set the attachment base directory to the root of the drive (or the user's own subdirectory), move it back to its new location, and then update the base directory to po…

Does the arrow ever stop spinning? How long have you waited? Is there a red exclamation mark that appears next to it? Does the library look right on zotero.org?

Go through the steps here (you sort of did some of them, but just redo this following the steps in order): https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#could_not_create_java_implementation_loader
