can you find the file and delete it manually? It's likely that any security software you are using may be interfering with Zotero. Try disabling the security software and sync again.

my most recent .bak file from prior to the upload is from Nov 2013, too long agoOdd, Zotero creates a backup about daily. Have you not used Zotero since Nov 2013? Edit: I should note that it only keeps a single most recent backup.

In your library, search for "Boyle DA Countering compassion" and fix the first name of the author on that item (it's too long and incorrect). Also, take a look at the Library Catalog field and let us know what it says. Then try syncing again.
