The icon might be hidden on your browser. You could add it via Firefox Menu -> Customize. Otherwise, you can just press Ctrl+Shift+Z

copying files on your harddisk should take no time at allWell, 16GB is a substantial amount to copy (not move), but yes, it should only be on the order of a couple minutes. I will have to find the default location again once I reinstall ZoteroYou ca…

Oh, and you would need to close Zotero Standalone before checking Zotero in Firefox. Edit: as adamsmith says
-
Should I try to move it? No, don't. But it's set to Custom then and I assume set to share the data directory with Zotero in Firefox (you would have gotten a prompt about this when opening Zotero Standalone for the first time). Does Zotero work in F…

While we're waiting for Dan to respond, if you can access the following... 1) check your Zotero data directory settings. What does it say under Preferences -> Advanced -> Files and Folders -> Dagta Directory Location? 2) try checking your…

Everything you say above is correct. Your stored file attachments (i.e. not linked) reside in your Zotero data directory. You can change the location of it under Preferences -> Advanced -> Files and Folders -> Data directory location For …

In visual editor, click "inline citation", then select true for disambiguate-add-year-suffix

Please provide an example.

FWIW, in keyconfig, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to document.getElementById('zotero-view-tabbox').tabs.advanceSelectedTab(1,true);to cycle through tabs (-1 if you want to cycle backwards) Edit: and if you want to assign a shortcut to a specif…

What OS and Zotero version?
-
Can you give an example of such a tag? Since your library is synced, Dan could take a look at what's happening.

Try using the Zotero word processor plugin https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_integration Edit: unless you specifically don't want to. Then you can use Ctrl/Cmd click to select items that are not adjacent. You'd still have to scroll and …

Also try typing in cmd first and pressing enter. Then type in the above command in the window that opens. You would be able to see any errors that occur before Zotero gets a chance to start. Also, don't know what you mean by "upload" above. Are yo…

To be clear, I meant that the quotes should be around the path and not encompass -jsconsole flag. You still need to supply the -jsconsole flag after the quotes. So "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero Standalone\zotero.exe" -jsconsole

Are you putting quotes around the path to Zotero? (Not including -jsconsole) you should

I assume this is so that the page you are redirected to gets proxied? And by "when clicking on a link to a DOI within a citation" you are referring to the DOI field on the right hand side in Zotero, right?
-
Are you using Zotero in Firefox? Might be able to do it by adding doi.org to the proxied URL list. (Edit: via Preferences -> Proxies) Could you be more specific about what your trying to accomplish?
-
Should be fixed now. Update translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now in Standalone. Restart Chrome.

I think it should be safe for you to select all attachments using a saved search (right-click My Library -> New Saved Search) with "Item Type" "is" "Attachment". You can then select all attachments using Ctrl + A.
-
I can probably see this happening via collection right-click. Via gears menu, it may be too confusing and quite frustrating to the general public if they aren't careful to deselect a collection before performing an import.

Download the Zutilo extension to your computer (it should be an xpi file), then Tools -> Add-ons -> Gear menu (top right) -> Install Add-on From File

Edit: Yeah, nvm what I said. I missed your comment about linked attachments. What adamsmith said. If you want to restore PDFs from your backup, rather than syncing, you should also restore your library from backup, not via sync. Hopefully you have …

Sorry, but what exactly are you trying to point to? DSpace translator has not existed for about 2 years now.

Do you have any security software running? Try temporarily disabling it. Otherwise, are you connecting via proxy?

If you have a DOI, you can use Add Item by Identifier feature to import metadata into Zotero. If you can find the article online, you can usually use the URL bar icon to import metadata (and usually PDF as well) into Zotero. Once you have metadata…

In order to add metadata to a PDF (you need metadata to be able to cite a reference), you need to attach it to a Zotero item. When you "Retrieve Metadata", Zotero tries to find metadata online and attach the PDF to it. If it cannot find metadata onl…
