Are you using any Zotero add-ons? (e.g. ZotFile) In Firefox, go to about:addons and let us know if you have anything Zotero-related listed there. (other than Zotero, obviously, and Zotero Word or LibreOffice extensions) If you don' have anything els…

It sounds like you don't have permission to add file attachments to the group library. The group owner would have to change these permissions in the Library Settings online. Edit: you can verify this by trying to attach the file manually. "Attach S…

How exactly are you trying to "download the file" to your group library? I assume via URL bar icon, but what Zotero version do you have (Firefox or Standalone, is it 4.0.23?), what browser are you downloading from, and what group are you downloading…

Right before you insert it, does word display proper font and font size in the toolbar?
-
Haven't had a chance to investigate this yet, but we did get the document you emailed. I'll just post the message in the email here, since it answers adamsmith's questions above: I did upgrade to 4.0.23 on all computers. I THINK I upgraded from 4.0.…

Can you confirm that you're using Zotero Standalone 4.0.23? (if not, update) While a large library (yours is probably close to what we would call large if you have note and file attachments) may slow down Zotero, it should definitely not freeze it …
-
My guess would be that Zotero is syncing. Check the circular green arrow at the top right, see if it's spinning when you start Zotero and if it doesn't stop spinning before the freeze up. Does Zotero eventually unfreeze?

aurimas - that a shift+drag will allow me to add pdf as a child to "parent report/journal/whatever" (various L & R clicking whilst dragging does not work); If you're dragging from the Desktop, refresh the Desktop afterwards (F5). Windows 7 (I thi…

I also don't understand why you have to delete the original PDF. If you move it to a parent item that's all you'll need to do. It doesn't copy.I think richard is referring to the downloaded PDF file on his Desktop/Downloads folder. You should be abl…

We do need more details to help you out. We need versions for all software involved, including Zotero (see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/zotero_version). I'm guessing you're using Windows 7 on both machines, since Windows 2007 does not exist. We…

Is the fourteen author reference the first reference in the bibliography? If so, it's probably just https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/italics_in_word_bibliographies but small caps instead of italics
-
As in _updating_ previously copied items (which is what this thread is about), or copying for the first time? If the latter, then just drag and drop. If the former, then nothing has changed, so the information in this thread still stands.

You'll need Zotero Standalone. See https://www.zotero.org/download/ Word processor extension cannot be installed in Safari

Well, this is a bit of a complicated issue. (1) Amazon tends to experiment with their users by serving different web content (typically different website layouts) seemingly to random sessions. So one person may visit the same URL and see a differen…

Not sure which part you're referring to. The attitude overall is that these things should be possible. Web interface is _not_ the main means of interfacing with Zotero libraries, so it is not a top priority. None of the issues described above are ap…

I think we fixed this. There was an issue with accessing data over HTTP from an HTTPS page, which only made a difference in Chrome 38 and that just landed out of beta recently. Sorry I didn't notice that before. Should have checked in that version. …

I see. Seems to only be affecting Firefox. Looking into it.

In case you already tried updating, try again. Translator updates were malfunctioning, but they should be working now.
-
Have you gone through these steps? https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear (feel free to respond in Spanish)
-
Looks like translator updates are not entirely working right now. We're looking into it. Will let you know when this is fixed. (though you should still see the folder icon on that page, it just might take a few seconds to show up)
-
I think I fixed it. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now, restart Chrome and try again.
-
Update your Zotero to 4.0.23, though that probably won't make any differnce. it instantly goes to the beach ball, and under activity monitor - Zotero not respondingThat's not exactly crashing. It just means Zotero is busy doing something, but you're…

Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now and try again. Should be working now. Thanks for reporting!

Or are you trying to say that while all the other citations appear normal (i.e. field codes hidden), inserting a new citation (any citation or just that one specific citation?) inserts the gibberish you posted above?
-
Not sure how that got corrupted, but just delete the field code and re-insert the citation again
-
Press Alt+F9 to toggle field codes (in Word)

I had trusted the Mozilla add-ons to be free of viruses and malware, but what about Zotero.org?That's a fair concern. All I can say is that the reason Zotero was pulled from Mozilla's addon repository is because the code-base is much much larger tha…

Just to confirm what you said on twitter, you logged on at zotero.org, and used the interface here: https://www.zotero.org/gemmab1/items/ correct?
-
Frank, is inability to insert newlines in Word a feature of citeproc-js, Zotero, or a limitation of Word?
-
Have a quick read here to understand different parts of Zotero: https://www.zotero.org/support/installation It crashes while trying to sync with my LibraryWhat does "crashes" mean? Do you get any error? Or does Zotero just freeze up (not responding)…
