Better to start a new thread for this issue and provide specific details (URLs of the pages, browser versions, Zotero versions, Zotero connector versions), but in general the situation should be improved. Downloading PDFs over proxy through connecto…

Regarding improper capitalization messing with proper parsing, I think we should still go with "position and case"-based parsing, but add a list of words that are known to always indicate particles. This way, even if those words are capitalized, we …

Currently, pre-selection has to be coded-in specifically for each translator. I see that SafetyLit takes advantage of unAPI, which could be quite challenging to add support for this feature. We'll see what we can do. I talked to Dan briefly about t…

I just ran a search in ProQuest and for an article available from Newsweek, with only html full text, Zotero DID include a link to the full text snapshot. So working as intended then, right? (just checking this wasn't a typo). Also, a new "hidden" …
-
That has changed somewhat. We import most metadata from the ProQuest pages, so saving a snapshot seems unnecessary. For articles that do not have a pdf, but offer full text content on the page, we save the full text as snapshot. If that's not workin…

Take a look. I think they're exactly what you want. Also, the blue icon should be displaying for any type of attachment, not just PDF. Is that not what you're seeing? If no, how exactly are these items attached?
-
Not all sites support this, but importing via URL bar icon should also import the attachment. https://www.zotero.org/support/getting_stuff_into_your_library (you might need to install a browser connector/extension if you haven't yet https://www.zote…

Yes, for the time being it does matter. PubMed is one of the best sources to import metadata from and will include abstract. Google Scholar metadata is far worse.

No, that's not the same issue. Zotero is simply not recognizing the proxied URL, or it would say "Save to Zotero (JSTOR)" (rather than DOI). One question though: the scheme should be "https://%h.libsta%a.lib.cam.ac.uk:%a/%p" or "http://%h.libsta%a.l…
-
It's possible that they have a separate proxy for JSTOR, or maybe their proxy details have changed, but as you can see, the scheme they provide does not match the hostname you see (https://libsta28.lib.cam.ac.uk:2320) and that's what is important fo…

Could you also provide the proxy configuration details here? That proxy is not being recognized by Zotero
-
That would not be compatible with citing articles in a word processor (or via quick copy), but if you don't need to worry about that, you can do whatever you want with the metadata.
-
Hmmm, I can see the issue, but, unfortunately, I cannot offer a convenient solution. Like adamsmith, I do not see numbering getting introduced into Zotero. There are plans for the future to add custom fields, which you could then utilize as you see …

Unless you want to convey the information non-electronically, a better alternative would be to send a link to the Zotero item. This doesn't currently work very well, but I can see this being developed further. The link could either be directly to a …

You can't number the articles, but it should be quite easy to assign tags (say, half articles get tag A and the other half gets tag B). To assign tags to multiple items, drag and drop selected items to the tag in the tag pane (bottom left). You can …

What does it say when you mouse over the Zotero import icon? Do you have a proxy configured for JSTOR under Preferences -> Proxies? Could you submit a Debug ID for an attempt to import that article? https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output

I have access, but not much time atm. The PME probably has (or should have) the most interest in this. I hope they can pick this up.

Why not use color tags to visually mark items? https://zotero-manual.github.io/zotero-manual/tags#colored-tags
-
Could you start a new thread? If you click on My Library are all the items you have in your library displayed in center pane?
-
Are you using group libraries that are owned by other people? If no, are you certain that your sync settings in Zotero match the login credentials you're using for zotero.org?
-
Glad that you solved your problem (though to comfort you a bit, you're far from the first person to be confused by the collapsed group libraries). I do think that double-clicking group library label should collapse/expand groups (Dan?). We'll see if…

OK, this might be fixed now. Please update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now, restart browser and try again. Let us know if you are still experiencing issues. If you are, see https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output …

@adamsmith, I can reproduce this on the linked page (not on a random query I tried before)
-
So you're not accessing the website through your institution's proxy? Dan, can you check the details in the Error report?
-
Can you post the URL for OVID exactly as you see it in the URL bar?

The fact that yours is the only open Android appWell, besides Zandy, but yes. (the following is more of a general observation than anything specifically about your work, and some of it is not applicable to you at all) I'm not sure how many changes…

Please start a new thread and follow the steps here https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

IIRC, the in-text citation vs plain text formatting is not always the same (I think adamsmith points this out in one of the threads). We could ignore this discrepancy, of course; Otherwise CSL needs additional mechanism to specify plain text formatt…

Instead of posting here or to gist.github.com, could you put the file that is not working on Dropbox or something similar and share a link to it here?
