After restarting Zotero, does entering the DOI that caused the freeze makes Zotero freeze again? In other words, does this seem to be specific to certain DOIs, or is this some other variable? Does it take a long time for it to freeze after restartin…

@slawkenbergius a fixed version of the translator for CNKI is now up. You can update your version via Preferences -> General -> Update Now The translator works on www.cnki.net and oversea.cnki.net but not on cnki.com.cn (though that may happe…

Are you setting the base directory for relative paths correctly? See "Relative Linked Attachment Filepaths" section here: http://zoteromusings.wordpress.com/2013/04/11/whats-new-in-zotero-4-0-part-2/ On the other hand, that should not cause problem…

Do tell what the solution was so we can assist other users if this comes up again. I'm actually not exactly sure what the problem was to start with though.

You can remove the attached link to the file either by right-clicking it and selecting "Move to Trash" or using Shift+Delete (at least on Windows). This will not remove the file from your computer.
-
That's alright, it turned out to be more than one line. I figured you were busy :-)
-
Should be fixed now. You can update your styles via Preferences... -> General -> Update Now

Just in case some one else comes looking, if there is no URL bar icon for a particular page, you can do save the webpage as Zotero item by right-clicking on the page and selecting Save Zotero Snapshot from Current Page.

Since the two imports would have different "Added" timestamps, you can either (1) go to My Library, sort by the Date Added column, and then delete either the older or the newer set. You will probably want to delete the older, since I assume you may…

yeah, that's the only way I would imagine this method working out. Maybe a feasible solution if you create a different account for groups, so you can still upload attachments for your personal library. But then... (1) as mronkko points out, everybo…

But in this case the files would be attached as files and not links, so wouldn't they sync through Zotero servers anyway?
-
See this thread: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/28752/zotero-standalone-will-not-sync/ and also more info here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/28756/ssl-certificate-error-connecting-to-synczoteroorg/ Edit: this is linked from the second…

If you're downloading from http://www.zotero.org/download/ , then it's a false-positive and you will have to disable the antivirus. There is not much we can do about it. You should report this on the antivirus support forums (or email them).
-
This is not quite related, so first, start a new thread. While you're at it, check your database integrity (Preferences... -> Advanced -> Files and Folders -> Check Database Integrity). If that doesn't turn anything up, provide a Debug ID …

the icon for the integrated Firefox version disappeared several months ago, and I haven't been able to figure out why. This sounds like your Add-on bar in Firefox is hidden (you should still see the URL bar icon though). It can be enabled under Fire…

Please provide a URL for the page where this fails.

Please go through the steps here http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

Please go through the steps here http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
-
I'm sorry, but you will have to be more clear about what's not working. What steps exactly are you taking to trigger the problem? What's the URL of the Primo catalog?
-
Those steps are not quite relevant to the issue you are describing. Translators refer to website translators for importing metadata into Zotero. Anyway, please follow Dan's request and provide the Debug ID. It should be a number like the one in you…
-
You'll need to actually provide the Debug ID that was issued. Also, what "list of things to do" did you follow?
-
Oh god... that sounds like a huge PITA for translators. Let's see if we can take some shortcuts.
-
Btw, I intentionally didn't tell you to save this under a different file name/translator ID, because I assume you will only be doing this once. When we release an update for the RIS translator (doesn't look like we will any time soon though), this w…
-
There are two ways to go about this: If you want ALL of the data that is currently being imported into notes beginning with "The following values have no corresponding Zotero field:" to go into Extra, you can edit the RIS translator: Find your Zot…
-
I didn't notice any links to export RIS, BibTeX, EndNote metadata on that page. Are you aware of any such feature on their website?
-
Thanks for reporting. As I said on Twitter, I'll try to get this fixed in the next few days. Both sites being in Mandarin will not make this one bit easier. I'll also see if we can include oversea.cnki.net
-
Also what are you trying to achieve by doing this?
-
Dan, does that also delete the full text index?
-
You tired those steps on your old computer? (Btw, if you're going to try anything else, do make complete backup of your data directory and disable automatic syncing) Also, on your old computer, how many zotero.sqlite files with various extensions d…

Besides restoring from a backup that you may or may not have made, there is this: http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_from_the_last_automatic_backup But, I would suggest that you wait for Dan to come around, so he can determine what…
