Not sure what Dan has to say (he probably missed your post above), but it's likely that you will have to wait for a new Zotero version to fix this bug. You can try a couple things, which may or may not help. Probably try all of these together: Clos…

That is a large library, but I don't think it's large enough to behave this way. Could you provide a debug ID for a click that takes several seconds?
-
Yeah, I just looked at it. Even if I fix the immediate error, the metadata is horrible. We'll probably have to rewrite this. @RyanCKavanagh, sorry, but this may take a while.

What's the URL you are importing from (exactly as you see it)? And what do you search for to arrive at that article? (nvm, I think I found the article)

Submitted a ticket for pdf.js https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/issues/3885 with a minimal test case.

Looks like the latest development version of PDF.js is able to display the second page, though it does not display the highlighting. I'm not sure if that means that the extraction will not work. The error (with a sample PDF) should be reported on t…

2. You can't entirely prevent local attachments, but with the snapshot and PDF attachment preferences set to off you'll get relatively few. AFAICT, if the group settings (at zotero.org) are set to not allow file attachments, there is no (reasonable)…

The style has been fixed. You can update your version of the style via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. You will also need to refresh the bibliography in your word processor. (though depending on how you fixed the bibliography manually yo…

See http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_from_the_last_upgrade_backup Though if you have never installed MLZ, it would be helpful to figure out what happened. So before following the instructions in that link, if you could try again t…

Sorry, I just figured out how to upload files to zotero.org, so I took care of it. Still don't know how to delete an existing file though.
-
Could you replace it with this one: [redacted] ? The paragraph below refers to a book icon, which could be confusing.
-
Just to make sure we understand you correctly, you want to be able to copy/move an item to a collection by typing out a path to that collection?
-
Could you provide a link to a paper that cites a dissertation or instructions discussing this? That style (e.g. periods for author initials) seems inconsistent with their other reference formats.

FWIW, the error would indicate that Zotero cannot open a connection on port 19876 on the loopback interface (though it seems to be able to do so just fine on port 23116). I don't use a Mac so I can't be of a lot of help here, but it's possible that…

FYI Javascript (the programming language used to create Zotero, Zotfile, pdf.js, etc.) is not at all related to Java. Javascript does not require a plugin/add-on for your browser - it runs natively. Java does need a plug-in, but as I said, it's unre…

Yes, I can still trigger the error and the behavior described above with HEAD of the 4.0 branch (citeproc-js 1.0.471) and Zotero Word for Windows Integration 3.1.14. Also tested with Zotero Processor Gadget 1.0.135 (which seems a bit outdated, unles…

Make sure you are running the latest version of Zotero (4.0.11 if Standalone, 4.0.12 if Firefox) and, if applicable, Firefox (version 25). Restart your computer. If it doesn't help, go to Preferences -> Advanced -> General. Under Debug Output…

FWIW, validation passes on ZSA 4.0.11, but I can reproduce this with Zotero for Firefox 4.0.12 Edit: Dan, 4.0.11 tag is missing from github

Btw, @adamsmith, monitorDOMChanges should be working in Safari 6.0+ Edit: Sorry about that, there is currently a bug in Chrome/Safari/Opera connectors. Should be fixed with the next release.

Great! Out of curiosity (and to supplement Zotero documentation), what was the path to the Firefox profile directory (feel free to omit any personally identifiable information)? What did the deletion of the 'read only ' option do?Selecting that opti…

By default, Zotero data directory (named "zotero") is inside the Firefox profile directory. See these instructions to find the Firefox profile directory: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
-
Check the default location referenced on that page. I'm actually not sure if on Windows 8 it's different from Windows 7. You can also search your computer for the "zotero.sqlite" file, which will be located inside the Zotero data directory.
-
Find your data directory ( http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data ), right-click anywhere within the directory (not on a file), select properties, make sure "Read-only" is unchecked.

ARTstor should work without bookmarklet now, btw (thought I know that's probably not why you asked about this).

Regarding connectors passing cookies to ZSA, there's some discussion here: https://github.com/zotero/zotero-connectors/issues/3

Oh, yeah, the above doesn't cover cases where multiple references are placed inside one citation, but it's not too difficult to derive a wildcard expression for that.
-
I think the effort to obfuscate the author's identity is a bit futile here. Papers are generally submitted for review to people closely involved with particular subject. As such, they generally are already aware of the labs performing work in said f…

Ugh. I don't see how this can be happening. Dan, any thoughts? We could have furinkazan install a custom translator with some debug code, but I doubt that this is happening inside the translator. Zotero and Firefox are up to date, right?
-
The downside is that interrupted imports will result in incomplete imports in Zotero.I would almost prefer that in general. Would help users figure out what item causes imports to break too.
