Thank you, @seabad, I believe you may be right. I've been reading long documents with many subsections and constantly using outline panel. That's when I noticed the problem.

I have the same problem with all epubs. It appeared after I updated to Zotero redesigned (love new design and features in general).

For anyone who may be interested, I found a solution (which may be a workaround but so far everything works). A few cases of the same problem recently appeared on Arch and Manjaro forums, all dealing with completely different applications. I finall…

@dstillman, you are right, tried it, and 6.0.30 works normally. I usually download directly from Zotero website. Official package works just fine, so I don't really see the point in using AUR builds...

@dstillman, thank you very much for your response! Yes, I have Nvidia control utility but don't see anything related to Firefox there. It has an "Application Profiles" option enabled, but no specific profiles are listed. I also looked through Nvidia…

Is there any reason you want to run Zotero Standalone rather than just running all of Zotero in Firefox? Mainly because it leads to the same problems as in the 3rd scenario described. If Firefox is sandboxed, then Zotero extension is also sandboxed …

Thanks for your help, adamsmith! As I said, I can live with importing styles through Preferences, but I'm still curious. :) I backed up my custom styles and did "Reset Styles". It did not have any effect on double click problem. However, I no…

Update: I did another uninstall-reinstall cycle with Zotero. This time I fully unistalled Zotero Standalone (including user preferences) and Firefox plugin, then reinstalled. Now I can import .csl files by manually coping them into Zotero folder and…
