The role jacob-walker was talking about would also very helpful for us as we have the same fear....: A role where "someone could add things to the archive, but not delete or move them".

Any news from zotero-admin side?
-
Great! Thank you for your support. We love zotero!
-
Thanks for the feedback. Has the problem been fixed now? Or can it reoccur on the next item to be modified, originally created by a since-deleted user?
-
Great! Everything works fine now without error. Thank you! What was the cause?

Hi, this is the debug ID: D910931444

Update: Today, after 8 days, my colleague has 75314, and my number has changed to 75328 (instead of 52217 eight days ago!). So I am more or less satisfied now compared to my situation 8 days ago. Nevertheless, there are still 14 entries between us.…

Today we made the update back to official zotero version 5.0.55, and everythings still works fine! Thank you for the great assistance and support!

Sorry for the late reply but I was out of office for the last 3 weeks. We have installed the zotero beta as suggested and with that version at first the same error occurred. But after giving admin rights to the users everything worked correctly. Aft…

I wanted to sync prior to upload the database of my colleage but while syncing an error accured that the database could not be synced because the user has no writing rights for the database. The error ID is 1000672186. Nevertheless I have uploaded …

Dear Dan, any new idea? Kind regards...
-
The database integrity check was OK - no errors were detected in the database. Regarding your second question, we use the default location.
-
I have send now the log as a docx file to the support.
-
Didn't you still get it? Otherwise I would repead it...? .... the email subject was "debug logging (72974) - to Dan Stillman" ...
-
OK... sorry, my collegue on the laptop didn't transmit the debug log to get a ticket ID but she clicked on "show output" and made copy&paste and sent it to me by email. Now I have forwarded it to support@zotero.org.

Ok. The description field in the group settings on zotero.org was empty until today. I included a few words for testing. After that - on the laptop of one of the two collegues / the auto-sync was off until now - I started the debug output logging a…

The error ID is D529691476. It was generated with normal user rights and after successful syncing.

Hi Dan, yes, it's the account I'm writing from. As the two group members didn't have the same problem at the same time but with about 2 months distance, we've tried to give admin rights recently only for one person. I will send an error report numbe…

One of those two created a new collection on zotero.org, and after syncing this was visible for all of our users. And yes, the two users have identical rights/permissions on zotero.org in comparison to all other users. Regarding zotero standalone a…

We also tried to exclude the factors PC and location. We installed zotero on a fresh laptop located in another city and one of the 2 persons logged in and synced successfully. But the permission problem was the same.
-
Syncing works well. If somebody else added a new reference this is also visible for that 2 people who get the error message.
-
Its already solved. Thank you.
-
Now syncing was successful, thank you.
-
After the next try there came the message "invalid session ID". ID: 1861994938
-
All right. Thanks for your assistance!

If I understand it right, after syncing of my restored old database the merged database will contain all of our actual items plus the restored old ones even if the content like authors and titels and so on are identical? And merging will be done wit…

I think I have an old backup. But indeed there are several new items added now which I don't want to loose. I fear when I use the backup directory by replacing my actual data directory by the backup directory and when I start syncing after that, my …

Yes that is what we did because of our large database and syncing problems in the past. Is there any way to restore entries after importing in a way that they will be recognized as the former ones?
-
After several restarts now its finished. So you can close this thread. Thank you.

Today morning I restarted syncing and now it went well and is already finished. Thank you!
