It seems like in your existing document you have multiple instances of bibliographies. You should remove all bibliography fields from your document first, then see if citing is fixed and if it is, attempt to reinsert the bibliography again. This ma…

Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero (not the Zotero Connector) for this operation?
-
Could you go into Zotero Connector Preferences -> Advanced -> Config Editor, copy the contents of the proxies.proxies field and send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
You certainly don't need to start entering citations all over again, but you need to describe step by step what happens when you override the locking mechanism. Zotero pretty much never freezes, so you need to be precise in what you see. We don't se…

Unfortunately due to limitations of Safari saving resources behind paywalls, particularly PDFs cannot work as well as it does on Chrome, Firefox or Edge. You can either download those PDFs manually and attach them to saved items or use Chrome.

Can you reproduce this in a new document? If not, see Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents.

www.zotero.org/save Is only mean to be used as a last-resort way to save links. You should generally use the Zotero Connector browser extension or the iOS app with the share function in the browser to save resources to Zotero, where you will have mo…

Does this happen in a new document? If not, can you describe step-by-step what you're doing in your existing document and what happens?
-
If you see this again make a copy of the document and try step 11 of Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents instructions to find a part of the document that reproduces this broken behavior. Zotero is forced to use the Google Docs search…

We're still interested in figuring out what's causing this. Would you submit a Report ID from Zotero Connector and also take a video recording of the error where you see "response is not defined" and send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this…

Are you doing this on a computer that has Zotero Connector installed in the browser? If you copy and paste smaller portions of the document, does it copy with citations? Could you submit a Report ID from Zotero Connector?
-
I am not familiar with the software, but it seems that it may be blocking Zotero client from receiving HTTP requests on a localhost open port, so you need to configure some sort of exception for that. Your system administrator may be able to do that…

That is a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector. You should produce a Debug ID from the Zotero Client. Sophos is likely the culprit here though, so you should test with it temporarily disabled.
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable By Explorer do you mean Edge and did you try installing the Zotero Connector there and testing whether it works for saving? If you did, then do you run any security software that ma…

It's very likely that McAfee is causing this, so the first step would be to try with it disabled (although McAfee is notoriously difficult to disable and remove so this may not be that simple).

This issue is not present on other OSes, including Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It's likely there's something individual on your system that is causing this. Do you see this type of behavior with other similar software?
-
If you can use the Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents instruction on your google docs document, specifically step 11 to figure out what's caused it and share it with support@zotero.org, we might be able to fix it so it doesn't happen…

Could you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere and post a link there that displays the issue? You should try disabling any extensions you have installed and see if the issue persists.
-
Is this your own personal computer? Do you use any security software?
-
You actually need to go through every step of the troubleshooting page. Note down what happened at each step. Also post a Report ID.
-
How big is your document? You're getting a 429 error from Google Docs, meaning there are too many requests from your computer, although it could also mean some temporary issues with Google Docs itself. It might fix itself if you wait a while and don…

What's the full version number of Word that you're running?
-
It's generated by LibreOffice so it's best to ask them, but as far as I know it's the ReferenceMark unique object ID. The uniqueness of this ID is possibly why copying reference marks doesn't work as there can only be one ReferenceMark with the same…

You can try merging your document with linked citations to the reviewed one by using the Merge Document feature. Although as the document was edited in Microsoft Word, this may not work very well. See https://help.libreoffice.org/6.2/en-US/text/shar…

Step 7 of the debugging instructions is relevant for you. Make sure the document is not stored on OneDrive.

Could you submit a Report ID?

The Connector automatically checks for translator updates on browser start and every 24 hours after that. If you're not receiving automatic translator updates and you can reliably reproduce this state, post the steps to reproduce it. Currently the …

Sorry for lack of response. We cannot reproduce this issue on our end with the proxy that we are testing. It's hard to say what may be causing this. One cause could be some privacy/security setting in Firefox. It's worth testing whether you still se…
