Restart Zotero, go into Word and take the sequence of actions that cause Word to crash, then submit a Report ID from Zotero. Submit it even if the dialog listing errors is blank.

Disable all installed add-ons, restart Zotero and see if it still does not work. If not, submit a Report ID

Does it work in a different browser? If you disable all extensions in your current browser and restart it?

Does it work in your existing profile if you disable all other extensions and restart Chrome?

Could you test and see if it occurs in Firefox?

If you have a table of contents in your Word document try removing it and see if it still happens. If it does, you will have to follow the troubleshooting steps and say what happens at each step. You should not skip the final troubleshooting step.
