problems when two or more people are editing the same document at the same time If you save the document on OneDrive, then multiple users can edit it at the same time. Some can even edit it with Word Online, while others do it with the desktop versi…

Java definitely does not interfere with Zotero. Begin by restarting your computer.
-
@eduvelle The desktop version of Word allows for collaborative work on documents uploaded to OneDrive and the Zotero plugin works there, so using Word isn't an obstacle to collaborating with others easily.

Do you run a multi-screen setup? Does the behaviour change if you change which screen you put LibreOffice on?

We don't generally recommend working with Google Docs on a document this size. The best option is to switch to Word or LibreOffice. See Moving Documents with Zotero Citations Between Word Processors. If that is not an option you could split your doc…

We have found a bug in Zotero 7 that was making the citation dialog appear slower with Word for Mac the first time it was being displayed. A fix is now available in the Zotero Beta and will soon appear in the main release too. Sorry that we didn't d…

@berwynhoyt @caviaporcellus do you run a multi-screen setup? Does the behaviour change if you change which screen you put LibreOffice on? I haven't noticed any difference aside from this issue. Sorry! What specific improvements are you thinking of…

Did you try restarting your computer? If it does not help, completely remove Zotero from your computer, restart Safari, then reinstall Zotero. Does that fix it?
-
Does this happen in a new document? Does it happen if you enable Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode)?

@berwynhoyt @caviaporcellus Does this happen with Wayland or only X11? Do you get a "Window is Ready" gnome notification? If you manually focus the window once, does it appear on top of LibreOffice subsequent times? There's also another problem with…

Does this happen in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode)? If so, could you submit a Debug ID after restarting Zotero and refreshing Google Docs for an attempt to insert a citation, and this behavior occurring?
-
Does this happen consistently if you re-enable it? Could you submit a Report ID?

Can you confirm that on some specific website snapshots are taken with Firefox but not Safari for you? If so, post the URL, then provide a Report ID from Zotero and a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading the page and trying to save?.

This is controlled by the citation style. You can change the citation style in the Zotero tab -> Document Preferences.

Does your scrollwheel work with other applications? Did you try restarting Zotero? Did you try restarting your computer?

We're still working on a fix, although it had to be delayed due to other urgent issues cropping up with the Zotero 7 release. We hope to have it available in the following weeks, but can't provide precise timelines.

The debug log you have submitted shows a near-identical opening speed. Do you also see this in a new document? Could you provide a screen recording for the difference between Zotero 6 and 7?
-
I haven't tried it, but I think this should work https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1007/window-is-ready-notification-remover/

This is not going to change in the near future. The Zotero plugin in Word needs to communicate to Zotero, and the only way to do it at the moment on Sonoma and later is to run an AppleScript command (which in turn performs a HTTP request to Zotero).
-
Restart Zotero and your browser, then submit a Debug ID for an attempt to insert a citation. The citation dialog (the red box) should definitely not disappear automatically unless you press Escape or Enter.

It is more prevalent with Zotero 7 due to the underlying Mozilla platform update, but fundamentally this is a Gnome controlled behavior.

Does the Zotero tab appear in Word? If not, in Zotero Preferences -> Cite you need to scroll to the bottom of the window to see the option to install the Word plugin. If it's not there, post a screenshot of the preferences page and submit a Repor…

@Zoeconnor The citations in your document got corrupt. I don't think we have seen something like this before. It could be a bug in Word, perhaps caused by migration from Mendeley or some interaction with a Word feature such as track changes. You ca…

If you run Zotero in Windows 8 compatibility mode does it work?
