I can reproduce on a Ubuntu 24.04 LTS workstation (64 Gb RAM). The RAM usage went to to 30 Gb before going down, loading one page... and starting over again to rise... So the problem is not limited to Windows, and not limited to my laptop.

I still see the bug in the latest beta. Note that if I switch to the library tab before closing Zotero, both tabs are correctly reopened. Zotero 7.0.0-beta.84+71f83c0a3 (64-bit) Windows 10

@martynas_b: A strange observation... It seems that the loading of the PDF files is much faster when I am not in Troubleshooting Mode... Is there anything special about the Troubleshooting Mode that would interfere with the PDF loading process?

Thank you. I confirm that the missing space at line breaks is fixed in Zotero 7.0.0-beta.83. The hyphens problem is less important, but that paper gives a good number of test cases, with hyphens that should be either kept or removed.
