Yes, I am 100 per cent positive - the citations are no longer active. It must have something to do with the document, since copying them into another, new document works...

Yes, the citations are stored as ReferenceMarks in all my documents. The document, from which I want to copy the citations, was previously edited by a proofreader, who also used LibreOffice, but possibly a newer version.

Ok, it took some minutes and the citation finally appeared. A second quotation that I entered appeared much quicker.

I practically never close the file, for it takes some time to load. I can try closing it after working on it, for a start.

hello and sorry for the late reply, i just saw the notification email in my spamfolder. Answering to your question: it only happens in an existing document (it is a long monograph with plenty of citations).

@adamsmith: Wenn du mit item types die Eintragsart meinst, dann nein. Die Primärquellen sind meistens als "Buch" gelistet, was auch auf viele Sekundärquellen zutrifft.
