It works for me (beta version): I went to the collection of a Saved search, selected an item, then Ctrl+A, then Drag and drop to the Group... and all items were copied to the Group (even in a specific collection of that Group).

In case it's of interest to developers... updating from beta.15 to beta.16 on Windows, the "Check for Updates..." option has shown me the usual behavior as in Zotero 6: "downloading...", "restarting now or later", etc.
