Can't you just drag into the textarea and then manually change the words "cite book" into "literatur"? And yes, it is not Zotero's responsibility to fix Wikipedia's templates. If Wikipedia's templates are malfunctioning, you need to talk to Wikipe…

No, it should be "year". "date" is for full dates like 1999-01-01. Looks like someone broke the Wikipedia citation template. To discuss issues like this in the future, start a new thread on Wikipedia on the WikiProject Microformats/COinS talk pag…

This is Wikipedia's fault, not Zotero's. To discuss issues like this, start a new thread on Wikipedia on the WikiProject Microformats/COinS talk page, and one of the people who maintains COinS on Wikipedia will see it. (Which would include me and …

Yes, it is possible. Ask me on my talk page next time and I'll see it a lot sooner. I wasn't really planning on being the only person who maintains COinS, but I guess I'm stuck with the job. :)
-
Oh wait. No it's working correctly. Nevermind.
-
Works. Seems like having one bad tag on the page prevents Zotero from seeing other good ones, though: [1] [2]

This appears to be due to the & in the title.

I like how y'all told the world that we have COinS for all our references now, when, uh... we don't yet. Oh well. Time to get our butts in gear.
-
You're not supposed to put quotation marks around a blockquote, silly. :-) Yes, it's better with the lines, though. Thanks.

ANY self-describing format (COinS included) can't be done on a user level. Well, they could be, but they'd have to be done manually on each page, which would be dumb. But the citations can be done in userspace, as long as the code is compatible wit…

Most pages which have embeddded RDF use meta tags in the page header--this paradigm is obviously used to write metadata about the current webpage, and might be useful for clients other than Zotero (which self-describing COinS entries don't really se…

I think embedding self-describing COinS on a web page is a dirty hack (mostly because of the relative narrowness of the OpenURL spec, such as the typing that you bring up). Ok. Is it appropriate for the "Cite this article" page? I was told it was …

I was confused by the lack of any reference or any button on the Special:Cite page ... I now realize why this is the case, but I can also see how others might be similarly confused. I do not understand why this is the case. Can you explain in more …

Perhaps it would make sense to embed the article citation COinS tag on the main page for all articles? Any included references would also show up as importable citations. It definitely would, but that would require a software change.
-
Omegatron added embedded data to the citation templates on WP. Thus, if you go to a page which has citations (like ), you'll be able to grab those references. Yes, but that's not what I was talking about. Mousekitty asked for the article itself to …

Also some of the fields are missing. Is there a way I can help with this? Can Circeus and I get trac logins or should we just start a thread to report things in?

The default file extension for export should be .txt, no?

1.0 Beta 4 adds a Wikipedia Citation Templates export format. This can be used in conjunction with the new Quick Copy feature for very quick copying-and-pasting of references into Wikipedia. Great great great double great awesome! Copying and pasti…

If Zotero translates 'rft.title' into the paper title this is wrong. It does, for genre=conference.

I keep staring at this and this and this and I can't figure out where to start. Can someone who is already familiar with the output styles help us? User:Circeus and I would really like to make Zotero output Wikipedia citations, so we can use COinS…

I added COinS metadata to the "Cite this article" page, so you should be able to get the very basics of the article into Zotero. See this example.

One problem that I foresee is the disambiguation between references and the Wikipedia article itself. You'll want to add another COinS entry the article itself I plan to request that eventually. I could add one to the "Cite this article" page imm…

Yes, it would be appropriate to add a COinS span for each citation in the References section of an article. COinS is meant to provide machine-readable citation information for any resource either referenced or viewed. Looks like this part can be don…

So this would be a citation style, right? Not an export format? If I were to write to styles at zotero.org, would I just reach you? Do I understand COinS correctly? If fully implemented on Wikipedia, there could be one span in the HTML of ea…

If I created the CSL export format, would that be helpful in developing the Ctrl+C or drag'n'drop features, or would it be duplicated effort and a waste of my time? Where should discussion about development of the export format be centralized? H…

Yeah, this really isn't something I should do all by myself. I just want to see it done. I'll certainly help, at least, if needed. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Citing_sources#Zotero_Firefox_extension_for_citations

Excellent. Is this something that I could just load into Zotero and start using and sharing with others immediately?
